"JULY 13) On Friday at the Club Defensores de Villa Lujan, in Tucuman, Argentina, after nearly one year of inactivity Alejandra Oliveras returned to the ring and won an eight-round unanimous decision over Maria del Carmen Montiel.
According to the MDZ Online, they reported that Oliveras was none too impressive on her return to the ring. They stated that Montiel dominated various phases of the fight and had her down in the 4th. "
Boxrec has her down in the third. Apart from this minor detail, can anyone explain what happened in this fight? An unbeaten fighter hitting the canvas against a 2-11 boxer? What has Oliveras been doing in her year off? Hitting the Argentine beef with a bit too much gusto?

What has Oliveras been doing in her year off? Hitting the Argentine beef with a bit too much gusto? Martin I will answer your question, since no one else has. First you stated that you looked on Box Rec did you look at Oliveras opponents record? well if you did or didn't you would notice that her records don't due her much justice. Her first fights as a pro boxer was against Marcela Acuna which where three but her first fight was for the feather weight title. This boxer reminds you of Belinda or Stephanie Dobbs. Also you or anyone else could notice that she has had more fights in 2008 than Oliveras which gives you the similarity of Sanders vs Holm which is the Holm advantage. Holm unlike Sanders had fought more in the year of the big fight and in the same ring, I bet that Oliveras's opponent had fought more in that ring..but this fight was basically the same as Achieng vs Ragoisna, which is that Achieng tore in to Ragosina but all Ragosina could do was dance like dance fever and just shoot some squirt gun punches because in the end she knew the judges would pay for her to win but the crowd turned on her because of her horrible display of boxing skills and demanded she lose because she didn't deserve the win. if you saw it..reply if I answered your question because i really don't think i did lol... also a little side note just to cheer you up if your still confused well is that even though Maria del Carmen Montiel probably beat olivras no one will ever see Marcela Acuna step up to plate to fight Oliveras she will probably just keep dodging just like Laila Ali did Ragosina even thought with both fighters they probably could have one (Marcela and Laila against Olivras and Ragosina) but their ego and high looks and glitter of fame got in the way of them actually seeing and realizing this.

Laila Ali didn't dodge Ragosina, Justin; come off that crap. You just complained about the unfair judging overseas and then you accuse Laila of dodging Ragosina because she didn't want to deal with it.

I guess I can come off it, i mean she probably didn't know or something or care, its not like my rants hold any water anyway..besides i was just using Laila as an example when i was typing up above.
