I remember we used to always raise hell about bad decisions ,and somebody getting robbed in one fight or another back when people used to write on this forum. So I will give this forum a chance to show a lil bit of life. The Dunaway V.S. Rodriguez fight! Who did you think won ? I know it may come to some of your surprise but I felt that Ol Hollie won 7 out of 10 Rds , I have heard many others that say pretty much the same. So lets do a poll. Hopefully it won't get Dee-leted !!!!

Hollie turns up the heat on Wendy. I'll have full video (unedited) soon. this is not the first time I've heard 7 to 3. In rebuttal to Bernie I have astute ringside professionals too that were not filtered by a TV screen and they said my fighter Hollie (HotStuff) Dunaway won the Fight! we had 2 to 1 book advantage at the casino , 4 to 1 poll advantage, we won the first fight hands down with Wendy, we won this one also, just is reported wrong in boxrec. They beat ME Bernie not Hollie, Hollie is where women's boxing needs to be. She is a dedicated professional boxer. She is a World Champion and no one can steal that! Let's see we've beaten Wendy a solid 15 of 18 rounds. As I said they beat me not my fighter. checkout youtube for the first fight, then if I get copyright I'll put the other up. What was the song, if I could turn back time, but for the future with Hollie she is 23 and has a world wide fan base that she has earned and she is thankful for each and everyone of them. it seems that the IFBA really want to sanction the Moreno-Rodriguez rematch. i thought Hollie deserved to win. Wendy came on late, but i thought Hollie had too many rounds in the bank.

Well the 3 rounds that I though Rodriguez won were big rounds for her, But the other 7 I would say were the same for Dunway ! I don't see the reason for a rematch for Rodriguez and Moreno , even the commentators were saying it was from a bull nuts head butt and it sure does not seem like a good reason to take a fight from a girl who obviously won 70% of a fight. I don't think that was the reason , but I sure think allot of people would like to know what the real reason was!

I saw the fight and I was in aww when they said that Rodriguez won the fight. I had it 7-3 with Rodriquez winning the 2, and possibly the 9th and 10th thats it.. I didn't even feel at all that any of the other rounds could have went either way, they were all Dunaway... I know that highway robbery happens way to often in boxing and I know first hand of that and that was a rediculous decision.. It wasn't even a close fight. I think it was because of what happened in her corner...

6 People man thats allot ! I thought it was a good topic! I know more people saw it than that! I know i didn't, I really wanted to but i had to work (some body gotta pay da bills) but I came home late from work and I went on the day of the fight and after going to ten sites I got to new mexico boxing to read Chris Cozzone's article I saw Hollie got robbed i thought some one would have put up a video but i see wban got one and gofightlive.com got one now. I agree with everyone she won and alot of websites agree to but in my opinon it would have been smarter for new mexico judges to give a draw than a loss. Yes the win was deserved but in reality New Mexico is one the top list of place you can get ripped off of and if they gave a draw at least it wouldn't be as bad as a loss especially when she and everyone else knew she won. I am sticking to my guns that if America had its on version of Spotlight like German has that could protest losses nothing will ever be done. Of course I don't have to go down the list of misjudged fights but i believe that if a fight is close anywhere it should be written a draw. To Hollie just keep working hard and get a rematch maybe the next Finally card will be in someplace not in New Mexico maybe Oregon and all the fighters can have rematches same fighters that were on the Finally card and this time all FEMALE FIGHTS..

I was wondering why the Avila article showed up on wban so quickly after the fight supporting Wendy. Now I know. this was written june 11th, fight was june 13th. I've always thought David was a good writer, but this is typical spin. Hey it's ok to support your fighter, but he is a staff editor for the west coast sweet science. www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/5972/best-female-boxers-take-center-stage/

Another headline from a writer in California that tells it like it is. Headline robbery! In this case of robbery I know where the belts are, not like most robberies where the goods are never recovered. riotboxing.blogspot.com/2008/06/mary-jo-sanders-gets-homered-by-holm.htmlThe little girl beside her Dad was helping interview HotStuff. The media was tremendous for this event. Thank-you to everyone that is swinging for the fighters. What a show they put on.

from Eastside boxing forum: Post in regards to Finally PPV June 13, 2008.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I stayed up to 6am UK time to watch it.
First up was Carina Moreno v Eileen Olzewski. This was an excellent boxing display from Moreno who is one of the P4P female fighters. She totally dominated every round and I had it 100-90 the same as two judges. Olzewski was tiring by the midway point (possibly to do with the venue being at altitude).
Second up was a rematch between Hollie Dunaway & Wendy Rodriguez which was another good fight. Dunaway totally dominated and I had it scored 98-92 for Dunaway. Somehow thought the judges saw a different fight and gave it to Rodriguez which was absurd. Dunaway was faster more active (and hotter too) than her opponent and totally outboxed her moving round the outside and coming in throwing fast combinations.
In the third fight which was very entertaining Chevelle Hallback took on unbeaten Jeannine Garside in what was billed as a female Gatti-Ward. From the first bell the two fighters went at it Hallback throwing wide haymaker punches which did land, at time to great effect and Garside with the more accurate but seemingly less powerful shots. As I suspected the more experienced Hallback hurt Garside a few times and eventually won a close decision. I had it scored 96-94 for Hallback.
In the main event Unbeaten Mary Jo Sanders took on Holly Holm for the title of best P4P female fighter. And as I suspected the speed of Holm was just too much for Sanders to handle. Holm was extremely fast and moved very quickly round the outside and then suddenly springing forward landing a barrage of quick shots before tying up Sanders and then the referee would seperate them and Sanders would try in vain to not pin her down and land telling shots. Holm did seem to tire in the later rounds and Sanders came back and for me won a fair few of them. i had the fight alot closer but still had Holm winning 96-94.
All in all I thought it was very entertaining. I had never seen any of these fighters before but it was well worth stayng up for.

Hey Fightfan I'm glad you enjoyed the fights. I noticed in your post that you felt the fighters worked around the outside of the ring. I don't know how the other fighters felt but Jeannine said the center decal on the ring was quite slippery. I;m not making an excuse. I'm sure it was the same for all the fighters. but it could be that they were fighting around the outside for the same reason. Allan
