Saturday, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, Kara Ro 15-0 (7) faces Kelli Cofer 13-7-4 (3) on the undercard of the Bronco McKart - Raul Marquez card. Don't know how many rounds it is scheduled for but there dosen't seem to be any titles involved.
Kara is fighting for the second time in just over a month after a double long layoff (previous bouts in Sept 06 and June 05). On the other hand, Kelli is coming off of two lost decisions and a technical draw in the past 13 months.
I am attending the event and will post my reaction to the bout early Sunday (EST).

I think Natalie Brown should go against Kara Ro however this will still be interesting fight Ro vs Cofer but since Cofer just came off a loss and Ro hasn't fought since Febuary and now it is April so this will be interesting to see who wins.

Brown fights at 140, and Ro is now campaining at 130, so i doubt these two will fight anytime soon. Brown is a VERY good prospect, and after she steps up beyond fighting 4-rounders, i would like to see her fight for a title. RYAN

Ro vs Willams was um okay the first round Ro was dancing around the ring like dance revolution on williams..in the second round Williams torpedo'd Ro but didn't punch..it was boring..kinda Ro seemed to find her self in the second round too and in the third she improved but williams was torpedoing her head a lot..willams didn't try to hard..to punch alot..
you can watch it a go fight live but you need an account lakeysha williams needs a new trainer or needs to retire..sigh

Rakoczy and Serrano are fighting on 4/17 I believe. Serrano needs this win to still be considered a threat in the upper echelon. Same goes for Rakoczy in this important crossroads battle. Kara Ro should have one more tune-up and then face the winner
Kelli Cofer is presently on a 4-fight losing skein.

Kelli Cofer is presently on a 4-fight losing skein. She's also been fighting a schedule from hell. She broke her hand against Liz Drew (but won that fight). She came back from that fight by going to Africa to fight a local champ, lost by a majority decision. Then she went to Lemoore to fight Rakoczy at what is now Jessica's home arena, got stopped on a head butt and lost on the technical decision. Would she try something easy after that? No, she went to Edmonton to fight Jelena Mrdjenovich, lost a ten-rounder by UD. That's two high-ranked Canucks in a row in world title fights - so what does she do for an encore" Goes to Orillia to fight one of the best boxers in Eastern Canada, Natalie Brown! Only in a four-rounder, but against someone with a world-class amateur background, again fighting on her opponent's home turf. That's a helluva four-fight schedule she tried, coming off a hand injury layoff ...

Lets get one thing straight...i never knew her hand was broken wow she is tough..a true champion..never fighting on her on turf..bravo to Keli but when she takes a layoff and gets her hand back together i still say her vs Kara Ro wouldn't have been bad..or Natalie vs Kara Ro..what do you think Dee..

I think most of those losses were close decisions too.

Ro (Rheault) was sidelined by a back injury in 2006 and has sport-induced asthma but she has been getting treatment for the asthma, which limited her performance in longer fights. Going against Chevelle she will need to be back at her top performance level; she has excellent skills but health and injury kept her out of competition at what should have been her peak. (She had a short but good amateur career then turned pro in 2002. Her pro debut was against Terri Blair - she won, and is 15-0 as a pro boxer).

From what I've seen of Ro, she struggles on the inside, which could be trouble vs. Chevelle. Ro has good legs and a good jab with a nice right hand behind it. If she has an asthma problem, maybe she should build up her wind a bit and have gradually longer fights before facing the likes of Hallback.

Watching Ro's interview after the 2nd Williams fight, I found her to be quite articulate. She is also a college graduate and does some television reporting.
