Does any one have the fight where Holly Holm fought Stephanie Jarmillo I have always wanted to see the fight where Holly Holm went against Stephanie Jarmillo but i could never find it lol

I don't understand why there are no comments made about this match...I think Belinda is very good, but I wonder if one should still be fighting for titles after winning 1 fight of the last 12. Let alone at welterweight!! Would a fight like this have been made in Europe, some people would have jumped all over it. I wonder if she was the best available fighter for Holm?

In My Opinion:Many have moved from disgust to indifference by what we see in the Holly Holm contests. In the fight with Ann Marie Saccurato, points were deducted for holding but Holm was not penalized for the same infraction. And the scoring of the fight was a farce. Saccurato won the fight and Holm won the decision. In the recent bout with Miriam Brakache, the referee was indecisive when stopping the fight after a headbutt (the same referee as the Saccurato contest). Shadina Pennybaker had a similar experience in 2006 when her fight was also stopped by a headbutt. Belinda Laracuente is a fearless athlete who fights at the venues of her opponents. In reference to the upcoming contest, one sports writer stated the California venue “should silence some of the few critics that think Holm should fight away from Albuquerque”. No, it won’t. The Promoter’s Advantage that Holm enjoys will be intact for this fight. Laracuente cannot win against Holm. Belinda Laracuente deserves better.

Ann Marie definetly won that fight. She had to fight Holms and the referee who would break them every time Ann charged which is taking away her fighting style. Belinda is one of the finest fighters in the game. Her record is deceiving because she is a road warrior who has been shafted by home town deceisions. She does deserve better.

When you say better, no offense but who would she fight?? There are list of female boxers and boxrec tells most off the fighters that are active.

Holm has been cleaning out the 140-147 lb division, and the few fighters left that she hasnt already fought either want way too much money, or they just dont want to fight Holm for one reason or another. Belinda was probably one of the few that were willing to accept this fight for reasonable terms.

Well if Belinda recieves an "accidental headbutt" during the fight then we know for sure that Holm has been coached to headbutt when the pressure is on. I guess some people will do anything to win.

I heard HOlm did a headbutt in her last fight but how many times has that been heard that she has done a headbutt to an opponent

Belinda still has skills and her name. Plus, she has been giving a good account of herself and hasn't been getting stopped. Goes to prove once again that no one can bear Mother Time! This bout should probably be a non-title bout, but all things considered, there have been worse title challengers than Belinda.

I understand all that...but lets face it: at one point you would need a few wins in order to get new title shots. Robbed or not. And she will be fighting at WELTERWEIGHT fcol.

Here's a piece you all might appreciate. Unfortunately Judy Kulis will never read it, unless she reads it here, since she has no email address known to me:

‘Mrs Kulis,
My name is Steven Joseph and I am a part time freelance writer for women’s boxing.
I sometimes get passionate about fairness and integrity in the sport of boxing for the women and this is one of those times.
I’ve been watching a tape of last Thursday night’s fight card that was televised on Fox Sports Network and I’m telling you right now the judging of the fight between Jeri Sitzes and Lisa Brown was deplorable!
How do you come up with a 98-91 scorecard in Brown’s favor when Sitzes clearly won the first three rounds?
Also, the referee, Raul Caiz, sucked! He threatened to deduct points from Belinda Laracuente, all because she was trying to protect her face from being cut from the ever-ominous head of Holly Holm leaning in to set up all of her smaller opponents for head butts!
It certainly looked to me like the IFBA had in their hands in Mike Winkeljohn’s pocket!
How in the hell do you get a 99-92 and 98-92 scorecard in Holm’s favor when she didn’t dominate her opponent at all, not that Laracuente did much to take the fight to her, but then again, why risk getting a face cut from the ever-leaning ram head of Holly Holm!
It all looked like it was fixed to me, with Holly Holm getting the showcase treatment that she always gets back in New Mexico, while the journeywoman fighter gets paid handsomely to lose!
There is no wonder why Holly put her IFBA belt on the line, since there was no risk of losing it!
I’m sorry if I seem to be critical and suspicious of what I saw, but then again, I’ve seen enough of Holly Holm’s fights to know that my criticism and suspicions come honestly.
I’m also known by my writers’ name of …
Longjab

If there is any risk of Holm losing a fight, it won’t be televised on Fox. No rematch with Ann Marie Saccurato or contest with Mary Jo Sanders on this network. Belinda Laracuente stated she received only $4,500 for the bout. She was not “paid handsomely.” Teams, if you respect your fighters, don’t send them in against Holly Holm. But if you do, ask for $20K minimum. Either the promoter will pay larger amounts or the pool of possible opponents will dry up quickly. And then Team Holm will have to take some real risks in future fights.
