I know my vote. Here's an article I submitted to WBAN.
Run Ragosina Run!
After months of discussion, talks have been discontinued regarding a fight in Germany between female boxers, Natasha Ragosina and Leatitia “Baby Girl” Robinson. This fight could have been the fight of the year.
Last week on ESPN2, Laila Ali said, the only fighters she truly wanted to fight were Ragosina, Robinson and Wolfe. Interestingly, none of these fighters have fought each other. It continues to look as none of these fighters will fight as they nervously try to maintain their record as they wait for a chance at Ali.
Except for Robinson, who has no fear of the other fighters and has been trying to get Ragosina to fight since February. Robinson’s team has sent tapes but has received, nor even requested, a Ragosina tape. Robinson is even willing to travel to Germany and fight in Ragosina’s back yard but even this offer is to no avail. In fact, it appears that neither Ragosina or Ragosina’s people have confidence in the outcome of a Ragosina-Robinson fight.
Robinson is the current WIBA Middleweight Champion and would be coming up in weight to fight Ragosina at super-middleweight. Robinson is 14-0, with her last fight in December 2005 against Cassandra Geigger.
In keeping with the German film, “Run, Lola, Run!,” Natasha Ragosina continues to run from Leatitia “Baby Girl” Robinson.

I watched that show you mentioned and Laila said there were three women she wanted to fight. She said Ragosina and Wolfe but I never heard her mention Robinson. Maybe I just missed it. I thought she never mentioned the third person.

Julie I don't think Wolfe is afraid of anyone.

Wolfe may not be but somebody is keeping her from fighting Robinson. Robinson, Wolfe, and Ragosina were all mentioned on the Quite Frankly show. I know Ali has been doing a lot of shows in preparation for the August fight. Maybe she only mentioned the two names on some other show.

Well I think the only people that are stopping them are the cheap promoters who don't want to pay a decent amount for the purses. And who keeps voting that Ragosina would win against Robinson?

Natascha Ragosina (KZ) Record: 11-0-0 (8 KOs) Age: 30 Height: 5 ft 11½ in Last Weight: 168 lbs su middleweight From: Karaganda, Kazhakstan WIBF Su Middle; 2001 world amateur champion WBAN #3 ranked su middleweight on 2006-Jun-01 www.wban.org/biog/nragosina.htm============= Leatitia Robinson (US-IL) Record: 14-0-0 (9 KOs) Age: 25 Height: 5 ft 6 in Last Weight: 160 lbs middleweight From: Chicago, IL, USA IWBF/WIBA Middle; IBA Continental Su Middle; 37-1 amateur turned pro in 2001 WBAN #1 ranked middleweight on 2006-Jun-01 www.wban.org/biog/leatitia_robinson.htm============== Ragosina is much bigger than Robinson, but both have pro and amateur experience at a fair level now ... going back to 1995 for Robinson and 2000 for Ragosina (earlier than that as a kickboxer, she began combat sports at 18). It could be an interesting match, but "Baby Girl" IS significantly smaller ... Ragosina has always fought at super middleweight or light heavy as a pro, and always in Germany. Robinson's fought in East of the Mississippi as a pro and only twice at super middle ... one inexperienced and one notable opponent (Valerie Mahfood). Both have won convincing decisions over Mahfood. Robinson would have a shot at Ragosina on neutral territory if she could work in close, but Ragosina's size and a German "home court" could both be problems for "Baby Girl".

Ok,
Fist Latishia, fight me for the WBC 160 world Champion belt!!!
As for Ragosina, look I have been in the ring with all three girls (Laila and I have sparred many times) Latishia is too small and while a good boxer, she is not in Ali's weight, or shouldn't be. And hey, if you think you can make 160 let's get it on, Baby Girl! If you want Lalia you had better get some fights to justify the price.
Lalia is no fool, she knows by building Robinson up, it looks better when she Ok's her. I mean not disrespect to Robinson. I myself moved around the weight divisions to get the fights too.
As for the Lalia's African fight-I am very disappointed. First, Ali never fought in South Africa, so please people - Africa is a content! Second, she could have fought Anne Wolfe and made History!! Both boxing and sports history. She is fighting the same opponent, again!!! So, in fact, this is the secound time a femlae american boxer is fighting on the content. I was the first american to fight for the first WBC World Title on the content.
Ragosina is the only one (in my humble oppinion) that has a chance to beat Lalia. I have been in the ring with many of the tops fighters, and this is the fight see.

I beat you and you only one inch shorter than ragosina. i will take your belt anytime you want. let me know the place and time.
one more thing. before you correct people maybe you should check your spelling. Ali fought in the Congo, a country in the continent of Africa, just like Laila is going to fight in South Africa, a country in the continent of Africa. And that is the content of my message.

Yvonne, you will loose your belt if you fight Baby Girl. Don't do it unless you are ready to retire.

Khary,
Tell me, what is the use of having a belt if you don't defend it against the top girls- I will tell you - Nothing! And beleive it or not, I am a better fighter now because of the who I have fought - and lose 2, and won 2. All I want is to box- it is my high- And I have always wanted to fight the best. You can look at my record and see that. Perhaps a little sooner in my career than I should have. But I look at it this way, I know now how to win, they don't know how to lose. It is my time, that is all, and I want to prove it.
Peace Yvonne

What's up Tish. When you coming back to Windy? Thanks for the help you give me.
Hey all - gotta give Yvonne credit. She wants to fight the best, and Tish is certainly the best in her division, maybe a few divisions!

When you come down off your high, or I should say when you get off the floor from your high, because Baby Girl will K'0 you, maybe you won't be so quick to jump in the ring with just anyone to defend that sorry excuse for a belt. The girl you beat to get that belt had a padded record. I don't see you challenging Ali. Their camp is always looking for sucker opponets. Don't let your mouth write a check your a$$ can't cash!

When you come down off your high, or I should say when you get off the floor from your high, because Baby Girl will K'0 you,
First, no need to be so nasty.
Second, she didn't K'O me when I fought her with a 102 fever and a Mother in intensive care 4 days before the fight in MA!!!
maybe you won't be so quick to jump in the ring with just anyone to defend that sorry excuse for a belt.
Again, I will and have JUMPed in the the Ring, as you say with the best - so don't even go there-please!!
The girl you beat to get that belt had a padded record. I don't see you challenging Ali.
No, I will not challenge her. She is not in my weight division and I learn the hard way (in Germany) fight at your weight!! Not because you want the BIG PAYCHECK that a fight with Ali brings.
She is too big and talented- Yes, she would kick I disagree! I don't belong at that weight.
Their camp is always looking for sucker opponents. Don't let your mouth write a check your a$$ can't cash![/quote]
Again, so nasty, but if you think I do this for money, then you are not a fighter. Most female boxer have other jobs and do it because they love it....
I will JUMP into the ring with anyone at 160, because I want to beat, or be beat by the best. I have much respect for all of the Pro fighters, Robinson is just one of many that I wish was a household name. There are Many women out there that should be a household name-but that is not to be - yet.
As for my win, perhaps her record was padded, but she is a good fighter with very good form. Let's not be one-sided, there are many, many, many fighters, male and female with "padded records". Besides no one else wanted to fight in Africa, the fight was offered to many others first. I just seized the opportunity to make a mark. But I have learned to fight and I always come to fight.
I love boxing that is why we are hosting the women's golden gloves this year. We don't make money (just hope to break even).
Maybe one of the 13-14 or 15-16 year olds will be that household name. I have been trained by Bonnie Canino - a true pioneer but still not a household name (in America anyway). She not only teaches me boxing techniques but to give back to the sport.
Since I have been involved there many pro fighters also give back - Anne Wolfe has many amateurs that compete on national levels. Laura Ramsey has a program that is getting off the ground, to name just a few!!
Peace Yvonne Reis

You too, need to get your facts straight. And you have been hit in the head too many time if you fought with a 102 degree fever, and who in their right mind would put boxing before a family member in ICU, especially if it is their mother. And by the way true world champions train hard and move up in weight classes so that they can fight out of their normal weight class. Why do you have such a problem with this, are you not confident in your skills?

This is getting funnier and funnier. Now all we need is a dash of the super-delusional Erin Toughill, lmfao. I hope Leatitia does fight Ragosina just so Leatitia can beat her and end this nonsense. Leatitia Robinson's skills are far beyond that of Ragosina and size isn't a factor when you talk about talent. Robinson would embarrass her imho.

I agree. Looks like someone's id has taken over their superego. I think Robinson will beat Ragosina as well. Can't wait to see this bout on a card.

Hey,
Here is another opponent Robinson should consider - Ramsey! Ramsey and Ragosina fought as Amatuers an International dual in Russia. Ragosina won on points. Robinson and Ramsey would be a good fight.--
Robinson can out box Ramsey (IMO), but if she lands Ouch!! As I have said before, There are two people that hit me and I felt it weeks late Ramsey and Ragosina. Ramsey's power comes from her thrust, she was an Olympic Power Lifter for many years. Ragosina power comes from her knowlegde of range. Ragosina has an extensive amatuer background, and so does Robinson. The difference is that Europe has a better amatuer program than America, which gave her stronger competition and experience.
Ramsey would be a good test for tasting the power at that weight.
Peace Yvonne

Yup, I tried to get her for Ragosina but the promoter can't afford her. Maybe in the future:) I am still pushing them to take Robinson too, but no luck yet.
