From WBAN:
On March 22nd, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, another solid matchup will be between Holly Holm, of Albuquerque, and Ann Marie Saccurato, of New York. This definitely holds promise for some sizzle in the ring. The two will be fighting for the WIBA, WBA, WBC, IFBA and IBA Welterweight World Titles.
Ann Marie Saccurato last defeated Jelena Mrdjenovich in Edmonton, where Mrdjenovich has a 30 percent hometown scoring advantage, in my estimation. Saccurato competes on the road.
Holly Holm’s last win was a light middleweight decision over Tricia Turton in Albuquerque, where Holm has a 40 percent hometown scoring advantage, again in my estimation. Holm competes only at home.
In my opinion, Mrdjenovich is a better fighter than Holm. Mrdjenovich punches harder and her skills are more rounded, where Holm’s techniques are either to stand-and-punch a smaller opponent or punch-once-and-back-away from a dangerous fighter.
Will Saccurato be able to defeat Holm in Albuquerque? Can Saccurato defeat a left- hander? Or will Holm defeat Saccurato by stoppage or points?
And how will the Albuquerque venue fare? Will hometown scoring be a factor in this contest? Holm’s last six opponents have complained about Albuquerque scoring. The Albuquerque judging will be under scrutiny on a live national broadcast.
Who wins?
