I just want to tell you about what it is like to have watched Stephanie over these years.
I am in awe of her every day and watching her train these past few weeks just has made me realize how amazing she is.
Four years ago she put on gloves for the first time. She was never any kind of athlete. She was in band. She was a mother and a housewife.
But, somehow through nothing but hard work and determination she willed herself into becoming a real fighter.
She ran, she trained she fought the most fearsome women on earth with absolutely no fear of any of them. When she would get knocked down, she would get back up. When she would lose, she would start training again the next day. Her spirit is indomitable.
When she fights this weekend even if she loses she has already won by proving so many people wrong who laughed at her and told her to quit.
If I could find a way to put that heart of hers into some of the male fighters I manage there would be no stopping them.
She will never be the best but she has done what many people in this world will never do and for that she can always be proud.
Her career is a small but powerful illustration of the human spirit.
