Another heavy scedule this week (remember when we were happy to find one or two women's bouts a week not so long ago!)
Thursday, 9/21 in St. Charles Missouri, Hollie Dunaway 15-4 (9) vs Deidre Hamaguchi 1-7-3 for the WIBA Minimumweight title.
Friday 9/22 in Queensland, Australia, Sharon Anyos 12-3 (3) vs Esther Schouten 18-3-1 (9) for the WBC women's featherweight title. This is Schouten's first bout since her decision loss to Missy Fiorentino last November. Also, Friday in Cordoba, Argentina, Alejandra Martina Oliveras 7-0-1 (3) in a super bantam 8 against TBA (a tune-up for her title fight against Jazmin Rivas 13-3 (6) on October 7th.)
Saturday, 9-23 in Santa Fe, Argentina, Patricia Alejandra Quirico 10-4 (8) vs TBA in a featherweight six. In Belterra, Indiana, Terri Blair 8-10-2 (5) vs TBA for the NABC lightweight title. In Winnipeg, Canada, Jelena Mrdjenovich 18-1 (11) vs TBA in a lightweight fight, and Amanda Carriere 5-0-1 (2) vs Olivia Gerula 6-8-2 (1)(?) in a four round featherweight tilt.
Also on Saturday, in Alburquerque, New Mexico, Holly Holm 14-1-2 (5) vs Jane Couch 28-8 (9) for the IBA light welterweight title and Sarah Perches 1-0(1) vs Vareria Flores 6-3 in a super bantam four. In Fort Smith, Arkansas, Sarah Goodson 21-15-1 (7) vs Sandra Ortiz 7-4-1 (4) for the WIBF version for the Minimumweight title. Also on the card, Tawnyah Freeman 7-3 (3) vs Kerri Hill 0-5 in a lightweight four.
I have not yet confirmed Vanessa Jurez 3-0 (1) vs TBA on the Hidalgo, Texas card.
On Sunday, 9/24 in London England, Cathy Brown 12-8 (5) vs Juliette Winter 2-3 for the English women's batamweight title.

Lots of corrections/additions: Tuesday, September 19 in Cuxhaven, Germany: Pole, Karolina Lukasik 4-0 vs Czech, Sarka Stoklaskova 1-3 in a Light Middleweight four.
Friday's card in Cordoba, Argentina (with Alejandra Martina Oliveras) seems to be off.
Vanessa Juarez 3-0 (1) can now be confirmed on Saturday's Hidalgo, Texas card. She will fight a bantamweight six against Amanda Knight 1-0-1.
Sunday in the Dominican Republic, hometown favorite Yahaira Hernandez 6-0 (1) will fight Foridian, Yvonne Reis 6-9-1 for the WBC female middleweight title.

That fight never went through. As of now the only fight I have is Dec 2 in kenya with Laticia.
Peace Yvonne

Good luck there Yvonne. Is it likely that one in Kenya will happen?

Thanks for the input Yvonne. When I started these "weekly" searches, I just wanted to update what Sue and Dee had posted on WBAN. I usually found a few more bouts than they had listed. Now I check whenever I have time. I love your input and your corrections, because that means people read this column and take the time to respond.
I estimate that for every bout I can post, there may be another on a small local card, or perhaps in a state or country without an effective boxing commission. There are certainly bouts in Asia that I cannot find although I try. Most of the info I get are from well publicized cards, many that just happen to have a female bout on them.

I also appreciate Len's direct updates to this Forum. This is just to point out that Sue and I share an upcoming fights calendar whose latest version is viewable at www.wban.org/php/EventCalendar/which gets updated on the web as soon as either Sue or I enter updated info that we've been given. There is also a much more complete version of this upcoming event calendar on the WBAN Member site - WBAN members can go to the "Master Search" and click on "Upcoming Fights - All the Details" for full details about upcoming fights, boxers' profiles, records, rankings and pictures including some video clips

Two changes on Saturday. The Santa Fe, Argentina card now lists Patricia Alejandra Gimenez 1-1 vs Bettina Garino 1-2-1 (1). Also, the Ft. Smith, Arkansas card no longer lists Sandra Ortiz as Sarah Goodson's opponent for the WIBF Minimumweight title fight.

oh well ;D that's how the cookie crumbles . if i got my a$$ whipped as bad as Ortiz, I would have backed out too. i'll be happy to do an exhibition with Mrs. Sarah Goodson if she choose to do so. I'll show up at the fight with Papa, and we'll be on standby.

Changes for tonight: Albuquerque, New Mexico on the Holm-Couch card; the Sarah Perches-Valerie Flores bout is no longer listed.
New: Hatterheim Germany. Alesia Graf 15-1 (7) vs Nadine Rost (debut). Anyone know anything about Rost? Does she have an extensive amateur or kickboxing record is she a sacrificial lamb tonight?
