April 27th in Tulsa, OK.
In November, 2002 when Stephanie had been fighting for only 8 months. She lost a 4 round unanimous decision to Stevens.
This will be a chance to redeem that loss and show how much she has improved since those days. Tracy is a slick southpaw with an extensive amateur background. It will be a tough fight.

Maybe, Bobby ...
But Tracey Stevens said on our old Forum that she wasn't training any more, and she was stopped in or before the second round in every one of her last four fights ... every time against very good opponents but she hasn't fought for about a year and a half.
Does anyone here know if Tracey is taking her boxing seriously and training again?

But Tracey is a decorated amateur with over 40 amateur fights and 12 years of experience, Not to mention a southpaw. So, I expect her to be tough and we will prepare as best we can for that. Bobby

I think Bobby has a little "hype" going on there, Tracey was the Canadian national amateur silver medalist in in 1997 and 1998, but she was never on the national team like her gym-mate Kathy Williams. Tammy DelaForest and Jamie Behl were the top fighters in Tracey's weight class in Canada at that time. Tracey said she stopped training some years back, and she was KO'd in 26 seconds by Melinda Cooper in her last fight. She was also stopped early by Wendy Rodriguez and Vaia Zaganas, basically giving up in both fights. She hasn't had a quality win since early 2003, and she attributed this to her lack of boxing training after her gym folded. If she has decided to get serious and resume training again at age 31, then it could be an interesting fight because Tracey was once a promising contender. Her best pro outing was probably her upset win over Nina Ahlin, who she came close to stopping in March 2000. But that's a long time ago and she looked only a shadow of her former self in her last four fights. But something tells me Bobby has that all figured out, the way he's talking up Tracey's career from back when she was in her early twenties, and the "rematch" angle

Tracey Stevens holds a win over Stephanie. She had many amateur fights. Stephanie had zero. If you think she is an easy opponent, you are a fool. Which of those girls that beat Stevens did Stephanie beat? She lost twice to Zaganas and also was stopped by Cooper. All you want to do is criticize Stephanie unless she is in a completely hopeless fight. Bobby

Dee, I think hanging out with Sue is turning you into a bit*h like she is. President Harry S. Truman, who became known as "Give 'em Hell Harry", said: "I don't give them Hell. I just tell the truth about them and they think it's Hell."

Here is another quote from Truman, this one came when a "critic" blasted his daughters concert performance. "I have read your lousy review of Margaret's concert. I've come to the conclusion that you are an eight ulcer man on a four ulcer job Some day I hope to meet you. When that happens you'll need a new nose, a lot of beefsteak for black eyes and perhaps a supporter below. " Thats figuratively how I feel about you and your opinions. Yes, here was the review, by Paul Hume, The Washington Post's music critic: "Miss Truman is a unique American phenomenon with a pleasant voice of little size and fair quality … (she) cannot sing very well … is flat a good deal of the time—more last night than at any time we have heard her in past years … has not improved in the years we have heard her … (and) still cannot sing with anything approaching professional finish." Margaret Truman was more sanguine than her father. "Mr Hume is a very fine critic," she said. "He has a right to write as he pleases." She gave up her singing career and later achieved some success as a writer of murder mysteries set in Washington. I'm glad you brought that up, as there could be several parts of the story that are relevant today ;D
