Stacy and Sarah,
Hats off to Sarah! Her guts alone made her a "heavyweight". Fighters fight and she did just that. The size/weight difference looked incredible. It took a ton of guts to go over there facing that disadvantage.
If every female fighter had Sarah's guts there would be great fights breaking out all over the place!

Side note: if that was NOT you on Sarah's shirt, who was it? LOL.

Yeah TD, just imagine if Rijker had shown those guts and fought Anani... To say Lucia is "afraid" of anybody is truely absurd. Do you honestly think that? I have NO idea where that kind of comment comes from but Lucia Rijker has ZERO to prove to anyone, IMO. TD

It's just your past remarks about Laila Ali ducking Wolfe and Rijker. You've accused different fighters of not stepping up and facing the best opposition, but Rijker claimed there was no money in a fight with Anani. She didn't want to fight Hallback again.
Rijker's career is over, but if you're going to make these sorts of remarks about "guts," start with her lack of guts in avoiding Anani.

In Sarah's case you praise the guts, which is true, and you say "Fighters fight and she did just that, If every female fighter had Sarah's guts there would be great fights breaking out all over the place!"
In Rijkers case you talk about what's a money fight and what's not. Weird. She turned down Anani, Moreates (back then) 3 times, Sjauw 2 times, and a few more. But the 3 named I know about first hand myself. In Marischa's case the words were: too tough. Ask Roach.

Its kind of absurd to say she , Lucia , is afraid of anyone. At the end of her career she was trying to make some money. Just like Sarah did. Can't you see how absurd your being- LUCIA CHALLENGES ALI BUT IS AFRAID OF ANANI? ? Camon, LUCIA CHALLENGED ALI TO MAKE MONEY AND TO TAKE PART IN A GREAT FIGHT. I respect Anani but truthfully, she would have been in for a rough nite against Lucia. Sure, she's a rock but look, when Blair cracked the rock and beat anani the first time, it didn't change Lucia's goal- KICK ALI'S ASS, MAKE A PILE OF MOOLAH. I expect more from you so to say I'm a little disappointed is an understatement when speaking to a dutchman. You do know she stepped in against a man...not a push over man, but an ass kicker. And she fought forward, not back. She took shots at him...and then she took shots. Sure, she was KO'd but it never changed her style, it just made her work harder to be quicker and more devastating. IF IT AIN'T LUCIA, WHO IS IT? ( it being the greatest female fighter of all time...and no Halmich isn't on the same planet so don't even go there...) TD

The opponent strength rating in my rankings looks at who boxers actually fight rather than who they TALK about fighting. It measures WALK, not TALK. Rijker was last ranked in November 2005, when she was dropped for inactivity. She was ranked at junior welterweight, and her opponent ranking at that time was 622. At that same time, Anani's opponent strength ranking was 690 and Terri Blair's was already 803. Anani and Rijker were ranked almost identically. Blair was ranked well below both of them BUT had already fought the toughest schedule in the division. In March 2006 Blair fought Anani and KO'd her with about 30 seconds left in the final round, vaulting to the top of the rankings. In May 2006 Blair repeated the feat, with a TKO at the end of the ninth. Blair's opponent ranking today is 1809 while Rijker and Anani are both gone. Anani did not fight again after being KO'd twice by Blair. Blair WALKED TALL. She has a losing record but she is a big WINNER in the ring. As Anani has not fought again, WBAN's bio of her still ends with her comment after her second loss to Blair - "She's such a sweetheart. As an athlete you always try to do your best. Of course, you're kind of upset about it. But to lose to a sweetheart like her … she represents her sport well." - www.wban.org/biog/sanani.htmThat's good talk from someone who did the walk pretty good herself. Rijker did her walk too ... when she was younger, as a kickboxer. Her boxing career came later. She was unbeaten and much feared and perhaps the best technician ever in women's boxing. About a year before Blair beat Anani, Hillary Swank was walking round with an Oscar for fighting Rijker in Million Dollar Baby but the REAL million dollar fight, Martin-Rijker, once set for July 2005, never happened. Blair's walked the boxing walk, and is still doing it - www.wban.org/biog/tblair.htm - but pretty much unknown to the general public. Rijker's semi-famous and in the movies, and the women's boxing money's all in Germany now ..,
