From WBAN: "Last night at the Tachi Casino, in Lemoore, California, Ann Marie Saccurato, 133½, of White Plains, New York, became the new WBC Lightweight world champion when she stopped Jessica Rakoczy, 134, Las Vegas, Nevada, 1:58 seconds of the 10th round. In a second women’s title bout, Carina Moreno, 104½, won a 10-round unanimous decision over Hollie Dunaway. Moreno won the WBC Strawweight (Minimum) World title. Final judges scores were 100-90 on all cards."
I missed predicting on both of these fights. Thought Rakoczy would win a decision and Moreno-Dunaway would be a close one. Big fights! Would love to see more matchups like these!
Congrats to all involved on a great card!

In My Opinion:
Team Saccurato’s website states Jessica Rakoczy won rounds 1-5 and Ann Saccurato 6-9. They had the fight scored 5-4 for Rakoczy after 9 rounds.
A knockout with 2 seconds remaining in the last round of the fight? It doesn’t get any more dramatic.
Ann Saccurato is a giant killer. She defeated Jelena Mrdjenovich in Edmonton, Holly Holm in Albuquerque (and was robbed of her victory), and Rakoczy at her venue.
The 100-90(3) scores for Carina Moreno are hard to believe.
Hollie Dunaway, you post here on occasion. Was this scoring accurate?

wow...thanks Congratulations to Ann-Marie. vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.fullscreen&videoid=19183347Excerpts of the fight. Ignore the over-music. Note Ann Saccurato's effective right-hand lead. Also the fighters hugged at the beginning of the 10th round showing respect for each other, more professional than some of the trash-talking boxers today.

JR.
Something about a left hand low that begs for a right hand lead. Ann saw the KO long before it happened.
But man, I can't believe that there was not more cuts from heads a buttin. And clinchin...wayyy too much of that.
Congrads to Ann. Ya throw when you believe and she believed all fight long.
