OK, Bernie, you are now the offical match-maker for all of boxing. Good Luck! By the way, you are also paying out all the purses for all the fights you make. Oh yeah, you are also in charge of promoting all the fights you make and of course, pay out purses for. Bernie, really, its like you missed about 82 years of boxing..."when the time is right" means when MY SOON TO BE MARQUE FIGHTER CAN MAKE $X,XXX,XXX OR $XX,XXX FIGHTING ANOTHER MARQUE FIGHTER IF I BRING HIM/HER ALONG RIGHT. Would Angelo Dundee have pushed Sugar Ray into the ring against Hagler after Sugar had 15 fights? NO. He said, WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT. Would Cayton have put MIKE in the ring with Holyfield after 9 or 12 or 15 fights? NO. He said WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT. MARQUE FIGHTERS = CROWD DRAWING FIGHTERS= MONEY PURSES. MARQUE FIGHTERS ALSO KNOCK OUT MANY OF THEIR OPPONENTS. TO KNOCK OUT MANY FIGHTERS YOU NEED MOUNTAINS OF SKILL AND CONFIDENCE. BOTH COME WITH WINNING AND EXPERIENCE. THAT MEANS SET UPS. UNEVEN MATCHS. Its not great for the sport but the sport and business meet at the promoters contract. So who you matchin up Mister Bernie and how much you payin them? TD

I don't Tyson could ever beat Holyfield, even today.

I agree with Bernie's insinuation that Ali/Wolfe may never happen. The time WAS right, and if by some miracle that fight comes off, it will be akin to Leonard-Hagler, with one or both fighters in or nearing retirement. This fight needs to be made. It will be the career-defining fight for the winner.

I don't Tyson could ever beat Holyfield, even today. Holyfield should have beenDQ'd for holding Tyson in both fights. It was absurd. I have never ever seen one fight so flagrantly FOUL ( hold) another fighter while everyone is watching what the FOULED fighter is doing. Look at those fights on tape...Mike is making the fight. Holyfield counters and grabs, and keeps grabbing the entire fight. TD

TD Not to mention unsing his head as a battering ram. I thought Holyfield thoroughly schooled Tyson in the first fight. In the rematch, Tyson was getting to him early and often. I thought he was on his way to winning the fight before he imploded.
