From Fightnews.com: In the main event, superstar female flyweight world champion Regina Halmich (52-1-1, 16 KOs) continued her record-breaking run with a ten round unanimous decision over WIBF superfly titlist Reka Krempf (13-8-3, 5 KOs) Halmich was busier, more aggressive and busted up the face of Krempf toward the end of the bout. Scores were 99-92, 98-93, 99-91. The was the 44th world title fight for Halmich.

Tranlsation on the Emery result it was close it was a split so in reality it was a draw for Emery or a narrow victory...(my guess) Hamlich beats a nobody woo hoo the pride of Germany took ten rounds to defeat somebody less then real.

voayer, did you happen to get Emery's fight? Sorry no. Germans (ZDF) didn't broadcast Lukasik-Emery fight. They broadcast only Regina-Reka fight and some male match.

LOL I think my point maybe proven there. I wonder if the German press made reference to the fact that Regina had two challengers begging to fight her from the USA. I wonder how tough they made her opponent look.

I thought it was a really gutsy performance from Krempf. It was clear from the first bell that she was hopelessly outclassed. But she hung on in there very bravely.

If I've understood Marcel correctly, the fact that Halmich was obligated to re-match with Elena Reid did not stop Universum trying to figure how to get out of it. I was amazed to see TBD on their website just a fortnight before the fight.
So there's no way Halmich is going to fight Reid again if she isn't obligated.

I heard Lukasik got lucky. Normally vd Wiele is excellent in scoring fights, so I automatically lean towards that in combination with some comments I got from people at ringside.

Elena, tough and good as she is, gets back in line. Regina didn't have to rematch her last time. As I understand it she granted her a rematch out of good sportsmanship due to the controversy surrounding their first fight.

Here's why Europeans like to fight in Europe: The live broadcast of the women's WIBF flyweight title fight between Regina Halmich and Reka Krempf drew nearly 7 million viewers on ZDF. The taped telecast of the European light heavyweight title clash between Thomas Ulrich konnte Rachid Kanfouah (which ended at nearly 1AM) attracted over 3 million viewers.

so Marcel split decions maybe a draw or a possible victory in other words Emery got robbed in Europe? Did you actually saw the fight? For example... i didn't and i can't say (or presume) that somebody was robbed. Or is this just your way to express opinions....playing victims all the time?

In Europe having seen Dobbs V Belinsky and other results it is safe to assume somethings.
Caples V Lord was a robbery.
It was a split decision some judges obviously thougth Emery won. Considering Emery was fighting a Unviersum fighter the other judges felt an obligation to Universum on a close fight.

Voy, They said the referree was the judge who tabbed emery as the winner. I am surprised they still do that, since the job of the referee is to enforce the rules and ensure fighter safety. Scoring the fight should not be his top priority, so I have to question his score.

Scoring the fight should not be his top priority, so I have to question his score. Ufffff. Now you got me. I can't translate myself word "tabbed" and put it into context. (english isn't my native) Anyway...i always asked mysef how referee manage to judge and score at the same time. But on the other hand.....is difference between assuming and watching the fight and scoring for your self. So....i would suggest to you (and Eric) to watch the fight first and only then make conclusions. Maybe there exists some tapes with this match. Like i said....ZDF didn't broadcast Emery-Lukasik fight...otherwise i would upload it and make things clear.

Voy, "tabbed" is slang for "selected". It can also be used in many other ways, such as: "Put it on my tab" means drinking on credit at a bar. They total your bill as you go, and you settle at the end of the night.
In the old days, and until fairly recently in England, the referee was the sole judge! He would "tab" the winner, raise the winner's hand, and then get outta Dodge if his decision was unpopular or rigged.

Well I have seen the first Reidh Hamlich fight I think Reid narrowly won it. Oh yes what about Melinda Copper in Vegas.
I read Bernie McCoy's commentary he brings up many good points about the sport and its inflated stars.
