Marcel? Dee? Anyone have any results on Melinda Cooper v Daniela Graf from Nice, France. I know this bout was only announced at the last minute, but it should have taken place at least six or seven hours ago.

There was a card in Nice yesterday, but Graf-Cooper was not listed in the results. I know of no fight card in Nice on Thursday. Perhaps it is at another venue?

James Pena (Cooper's trainer) told me she got paid alot of money to fight in France, so she was willing to fight a larger opponant.

But why a 2-8 girl and not a better one? It's not like the Roumanian was the promoters girl was it? There are way better ones available in Europe. But maybe Ivanova for a title soon?

Our best fighters (male and female) are taking bouts in Europe because the pay is better over there. I realize that except for football (soccer) they don't have the team sport competition that limits boxing audiances in the US. However, boxers (except for a few names) are our worst paid athletes. Any suggestions on how to increase their pay?

I am going to try and find out as I wonder what "a lot of money" is. In Europe they pay LESS on non title fights.
