i thought Turton may have won 1 or 2 rounds early on, but Mary Jo dominated her throughout the fight. Turton never stopped pressing the action and never quit trying. she showed tons of heart and a great chin. but everything she did, Mary Jo had an answer for. it was an entertaining fight, and the scores dont tell the whole story. it was the best fight of the night (which doesnt necessarely say much because the undercard was mostly 1st round mismatches) but nonetheless the people in attendance enjoyed the main event. Mary Jo is the real deal. her plan is to move up in weight all the way to 168, where she wants to get a fight with Laila Ali. i am guessing Mary Jo wants to fight Yvonne Reis next, for Reis' WBC Middleweight World Title, before stepping up to face Ali. Mary Jo already beat Yvonne, winning all 6 rounds of their encounter. so she would be an obvious favorite to beat her again. Mary Jo's camp is also taking about maybe coming back down to 147 to fight Christy Martin before going back up the scale towards a dream fight with Ali. i dont know if Mary Jo could beat Leatitia Robinson at 160 pounds, but i think she can beat anyone else at 160. I would love to fight Mary Jo Again!
I learned the most for my fight with her than any other loss I have. She is very classy both inside and outside of the ring.
However, I would prefer not to fight her in Detroit, again. I have fought in many fighters hometowns, and will again if I have to. There are a lot of fighters out there that I want to give a shot at this belt (saying my belt-still feels weird).
Latashia, and Anne, Shelly, Rosalyn, Dakota, etc. shoot I want them all it is just the promoters wanting to fork out the money that is the issue. I fought many of them early in my boxing by jumping around weight divisions (5 in total). I will fight anyone, it is the promoters that are the issue for all of us female fighters. They put up a purse but don't put up the money for travel, etc.. So many of us end up fighting the same local girls more than once.
Look I am not a belt collector, I like to fight, tittle non-tittle, but my goal is to defend this belt as many times as possible. Before I retire to the background.
Peace Yvonne Reis

thank you for the run-down!
And Yvonne I have to tell you that I have an 11 year old daughter who is a boxing fan and I love how many of you (including Tricia and Mary Jo) have such great attitudes and hold yourselves with the kind of composure and sportsmanship that she can emulate and find great success in life with.
Wishing you the best!
