I read Sue Fox's response to my disagreements with her. Sue Fox and I disagree on several things 1)Human fallibility she believes she can do websites for others in the boxing community and get paid to do so. She has on file the password to my site and how to get to it she is still free to request it if she lost it. I do not trust myself anybody who trusts themselves without oversight is in my mind a fool 2)conflicts of interest. I have talked to people who do not know who Sue Fox and some really do not care boxing. Yet they unamious consesnus is this is a blatant conflict of interest. I am more tollerant of those through advertising openly declare who they take money from. The reaction even amoung boxing fans is against those who run advertisements for promoters and far worse those who recieve undeclared money for services from promoters. See point number 1 Here is what Sue Fox said www.womenboxing.com/NEWS2006/news071206fox.htmHere is the editorial she inspired www.ausaboxing.com/depravityed.htmlAs for her son serving overseas in Iraq he has done something worthwhile with his life. He has unselfishly given and suffered so that others may breath free speak free worship free. Such a man is a hero. Everytime I cast a vote or in my case sign a petition to get Kinky Friedman on the ballot I think of those men and women who put on the uniform of the United States military and protect my rights God be with them and thank God for men and women such as these. To those who put on the uniform THANKS

That second link is dead. As for doing other websites, you are forgetting one important element here in the States: Freedom of the Press.

First lets respond to your last thing first to quote you"As for doing other websites, you are forgetting one important element here in the States: Freedom of the Press. " If you were familar with the United States Constitution it was a document designed to RESTRICT THE POWER OF THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT. I am not a civil servant I do not represent any tax payer funded organizaton I do not get paid by either the state of Texas through a federal program or by the federal goverment directly as an employee. So the first ammendment protects my right to free speech. Which includes my right to criticzie other sites for not declaring conflicts of interest. Your argument sounds something like out of a book I read in High School "All animals are equal some animals are more equal then others" the book ofcourse is George Orwell's Animal Farm. Another interesting book which I think you should read is Londonistan. Oddly enough if you bother checking the editorial you will find many interesting thoughts. Including the concept of Lex Rex which is the Latin term Law = King the idea that a puaper is subject to the same laws and president is and vice versa. Rick you can see the editorial on www.ausaboxing.com/ausaboxing.html (Is the Guard Fox being bribed is the headline) please not in the fight report about the event in San Marcos there is a declaration on the bottom of the report which indicates potential bias and behind the scenes judgement.(It should be on the main page for three more weeks) I just copied the link direcly to the editorial. www.ausaboxing.com/depravityed.htmI still visit Sue's site but I view what she posts with a great deal more skepticism. I did not call that her site be removed. I would like her to declare who she does work for.

==Esteban, what you need is more self confidence-not "oversight". Women's boxing is not a life or death issue. Relax and be yourself.
imho, you should write less editorials and stick to factual reporting, until such time as you are more certain of yourself and confident in your own judgment. You won't get that confidence with a net nanny lurking with a red pencil.
Every time I have read one of your editorials, it wasn't a fortnight until the inevitable aoplogy, clarification, or equivocation was forthcoming on the bulletin board; and that is very damaging to a writer's credibility.

I am too hot blooded Dan I will admit....as far as hurt actually my site has gotten higher traffic. If I make a mistake I admit to it. I consider errors inevitable. The sooner they are recognized and caught the better. My working at an adventure park has if anything heightened my view.
If you have been to Sea World San Antonio the last four years you have noticed park employees serving drinks outside wearing NAVY I repeat NAVY blue. Anybody with any common sense will tell you how utterly stupid the decision was. Wearing dark clothing in south Texas during summer time.....at a science oriented park. Yet the mistake will wind up being uncorrected for 3.5 seasons. Any person who has worn the "solar panel" will tell you how utterly stupid the decision was. It is great for transferring heat from areas where it is welcome to areas where it is not welcome. There are other quirks that Annheuiser Busch has in its running of the parks that nobody wants to pass up the line.....they involve revenue spillage, saftey issues for employees (the solar panel uniform) and slightly hinder guest service or increase revenue spilage. These flaws are hidden by the things done right an appropriate amount of rigid policy in Human Relations and an eagerness to say thanks to its crew with $$$ or things that $$$.
So unlike others in the boxing world and reporting world who will say I am never wrong I admit when I am wrong. I have heard on multiple occaisions since I covered the pro event in San Marcos that the fight I called close was a blow out. I did think long and hard....I have not equivocated. As I finally told Emilio Ledezma we went down the list of fights. Was Warren's fight close. The number of bombs the local guy landed were only slightly higher then retractions run on New Mexico boxing and Sue Fox's site. Did Jose Escimillla land more significant shots in three rounds then Warren did in the previously mentioned bout even though it went the distance? Yes. Was the Dubois fight in ever in any doubt? No So through that simple comparison the battle of heavies one 0-2 was the most competive fight of the night.
When I ran crosscountry competitively I think at one point I had three seasons worth of races filed away in my memory bank with lessons learned. To think my senior year in highschool I was still reviewing some races run my freshman year and learning from mistakes and strengths. The result of the anaylsis and study lead to one mile in my only season running colligately a mile that represented every single lesson learned and stands as closest to perfection as I dare ever achieve.
In short my site represents a pursuit of perfection by a hot head. This attitude is best personified in Richard Collin's book the Perfect Flight. The idea is that each flight represents a learning opprotunity. So it goes with my website. I will retract when I am wrong I will ponder a report long after it is written to see what could have done better I will pour over the photos to improve them and think about how I can do better next time. At times on a board I will post hot head. I will think about an editorial which I generally right once a week. If something comes up I will play with it. Keep in mind I am also working over 50 hours a week right now.
