Make it 126 catch and match these two flamethrowers up!
Fans would love the hell out of a Stay Lo V. Mel duke-a-thon!

How many seats do they have a club Europe? We're going to need more seats. Details, details.

If the pay is not right I don't think Stacy will take the fight When has the PAY ever been right for women boxers? It hasn't been. Promoters take advantage of that,no doubt. BUT, this fight is very promotable with the right promoter. All fighters should look at the following aspects of any contract; 1. Venue size and ticket gross...IE. 2000 seats at average of $40 seat =$80,000 2. Broadcast "method"...IE. ESPN or FSI or PPV...more money. 3. Casino venue?...always means fees paid to the promoter for the basis of building a thrilling card, thus YOU the fighter, are a DRAW if you are fighting near the TOP of the card ( co-featured, under the Main, special feature, Ladies Featured Bout etc) 4. Reproduction rights/mentod...? the performance the fighter give, will end being profited on by somebody down the road...the show will get sold and re-sold, packaged and re-printed. And if its a barn burner, the faster as opposed to later. Case in point, IF you have been knocked out cold and out of the ring on Tuesday Night Fights, there's a good chance boxing fans will be watching you bounce off the canvas for years to come...and what did you get paid for that? $2500? Stacy needs to expand her fan base, her awareness on TV (TVQ) and her competitive challenges. But maybe she'll hide behind the "not enough money" excuse. Again, you have to be reasonable, a club fight with 800 seats going for $35 a seat (on average) is not paying anybody alot of money. But this is a semi-feature bout in my opinion and one that a NET might want 3rd from the top. IMO. TD

Stay-Lo is ranked higher than Hernandez, and would have nothing to gain by fighting her. If they can't find an opponet for Hernandez, I'll step up to the plate, but I have to let them know well in advance that I will be about 35 lbs over the weight limit.

I think Melissa should be ranked above Stacy if she is NOT already. That's based just on technique and heart. So who is Stacy gonna fight? Walk overs? To be the best you have the fight the best. To get paid well, you have to knock opponents out. To fight the best AND get paid well, you have to enter like the dragon, kick ass and then talk to the ESPN air jocks about KO'in "the rest of the world". If Stay Lo ain't up for that, then she ain't CHAMP material, no matta whut you say. But Melissa may be. She's a lion and she ain't afraid of anything. I bet she go with Mike Tyson ( if Mike was quadruple dosed on Paxil or whatever his happy drug is). Hey, you can't stay in Miami your whole career and expect the world to come to you, mang! Look at Lucia...she knocked out Europe, came to America, kicked ass back and forth and she can Laila Ali to step in with her for a MILLION DOLLARS! Now that's sum fugged up sheeoott. TD

boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=257401For someone with no amateur experience she has fought decent opponets. She fought in Japan and Chicago as well as Florida. Stay-Lo is always ready!!! Please be nice about the things you are saying about Stay-Lo because if you piss her off you will get Melissa killed whenever they do fight. Melissa could go to a 1 year training camp to get ready for Stay-Lo and train everyday, and she still would not be able to be Stay-Lo in the ring. Does Hernandez REALLY want to fight Stay-Lo.? Of course not, she is worried about getting her nose broken, and bloodied again. Plus you said it yourself to be the best you have to fight the best and Hernandez ain't the best. So as far as I am concerned Stay-Lo needs to find a bigger fish to fry.

I disagree...Stay Lo has fought so-so opposition. Not stellar and NOT the best in and around her weight.

I read Ms. Hernandez as the LION in this dynamic. That would make Stay Lo...the what...?
Plus you said it yourself to be the best you have to fight the best and Hernandez ain't the best. So as far as I am concerned Stay-Lo needs to find a bigger fish to fry.[/quote]
Your are right Ms. Hernandez is NOT the best in the division, but she will be one day. But right now, I put her above Stay Lo. Its a compelling fight that would be a flamethrower-fest with both ladies dropping bombs, firing from all angles and generally trying to KO each other from the first salvo. No matter what the OUTCOME, both ladies would come out of it elevated and respected more and IN DEMAND.
This sport needs great match ups, not one-side slaughters. Contrary to the stupid slogan "styles make fights", ONLY real fighters make fights. Styles actually UN_MAKE fights. IE Chris Byrd can actually UN_MAKE a fight every time he steps in the ring. Whereas Marvin Hagler or Mike Tyson MADE a fight NO MATTER who was in the ring with them.
So Stacy and Melissa are both FIGHTERS, they would make one hell of a conflagration-confrontation!
So Stay Lo can dodge this...it only lessens her appeal,IMO. If she even is following all this. Hell, I still think she's a kick and I do believe she is worth money because I would pay to see her fight. BUT no more side of glove punches.
