Anyone feel that the whole handing over of the crown (if both women's fights go according to plan) a bit artificial? Wouldn't a Halmich-Kenkitian matchup be the better solution? Of course, it would never happen, would it? But who would win such a bout?

Halmich doesnt want to go into retirement coming off of a loss, and i cant say i blame her. after Halmich retires, Elena Reid will be the #1 female flyweight in the world, with Kentikian #2. these two should fight next year, to determine who is the best female flyweight on the planet. RYAN

But where would Reid and Kentikian fight? Elena has shown willingness to fight away from home, but having been robbed once (and some say twice) in Germany she may not be willing to chance it again. A fat purse would make a difference, of course!

Reid and Kentikian would fight in Germany. Reid is totally willing and eager to fight in Germany again. it also helps that the germans pay well. RYAN

The fact that Halmich and Kentikian would rather hand the title over than fight each other is a shame and is flat out stupid. Susi has been around long enough and those two have appeared on television together and on the same cards together enough for this fight to have happened. Disgusting.

Well, there'd be a hell of a lot of money in it, that's for sure! But Halmich may feel she's getting a bit too old and wouldn't be able to deal with her younger opponent...or conversely Susi and her camp may not want to take such a risk (losing to a fading champion) when there are so many more fights ahead of her...or maybe they are simply too close, friends even, which acts against any kind of fight being made.
However, if I were a promoter, I'd wait a while and make the two of them the offer of their lives, and see how they feel when the word money talks loud.

Kentikian again only close win to Hokmi ...
She definitely is limited.
The women to defeat is Reid ...

It's more that Hockmi is underrated. imho Kentikian would beat Reid without major problems.

But i doubd that Kentikian would beat Elena without major problems. Don't forget against whom fought Susi already: www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=292211&cat=boxerRecord is impressive, but rang of her opponents is not that impressive.

Say what dude, Okay first off until Elena Reid fights Nadia Hockmi then we can say she would win or lose and first off have you seen Hockmi's record, dude please. The only time HOckmi has ever won a fight was against people with 4 to O fights. The only think Elena has to worry about is not bleeding, headbutts and illegal moves. Because truth be told Elena beat Regina the first time and had a draw with her the second time.

Allan I think Garside should fight Ina Menzer or Alesia Graf because if she fought Ina Menzer the one thing they have in common is punching power and that would be interesting to see those two go at it

German underhandlings and how they heck does they have Susi 2nd in the rankings??

So I won't even get into it:) Especially not about the very last comment you made.

Hokmi has to fight abroad all the time, she was robbed against Galassi and Christensen, and certainly not scored favorably in her fights against Kentikian. There is no question Hokmi is underrated.
And I'm not sure why you complain about Kentikian's No. 2 rating either. She has won 14 of her 19 fights by stoppage, more than double than any other boxer in that weight class; this has little to do with "German underhandlings".
