Just watched the clip w/ Nava stopping Brown...was it too early to stop the fight?
YES and NO.
YES, Lisa's head was batted back and forth in the corner, but NO, she didn't go down. Another NO, it was a world title fight and Lisa deserved the chance to keep fighting or be knocked down.
YES, Lisa was rocked, IMO, more than she admits by a Nava left-right while Lisa was backing out...you can see her knee buckle ( her right knee)...
What I saw was Lisa looping wide punches on straight in, straight out rushes while NAVA looked sharp and much tighter with her combos...
However, you got to let them GO...this judgement was not so wrong that it merits being overturned, but it was WRONG enough to mandate a rematch.
Lisa deserves that. And Jackie never backs away from a fight...so a smart promoter should put this one together...I mean, what a great opportunity-- 2 world class fighters, a first fight questioned outcome and a strong desire to rematch!!!!
A REMATCH WOULD BE A ROCKING GREAT FIGHT!
