Couldn't find any reference to this fight on the board but if there has been then apologies. Anyway, just came across this video of the fight. The first knockdown punch is a belter. Maybe Garbatt could have survived if the bell had come a couple of seconds earlier in that first round? That said, Jelena was as focused as I've ever seen her. Whatever...kudos to both girls for the fight. I'd like to think there'll be a fourth time. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tbl8-8F6DvM

Martin---yep, another great Jelena fight. Funny thing, 2 interviews ago JM was talking about sitting down on her punches and throwing for the knockout. The latest interview, she claims she was just working behind her jab, ready to go the distance. WRONG. She is really working inside, working combos like a champ and always looking to put the bang on her opponent---or in other words, working for the knockout.
Garbett's best shots were RIGHTS she threw over Jelena's jab at distance....oddly, Garbett's worst shots were the same RIGHTS then dropped right glove but in close.
Jelena may not know this, but she has the perfect counter puncher sense combined with the perfect power punch/ perfect balance behind the ideal combo philosophy. Her "bounce" ( balance/weight shift) is near perfect. When you have that, and can see openings, can set up opponents...wow--that is lethal.
