Fans of all ages and weights- Ava Knight deserves a fan base and a fan club! So this is the beginning of that club.
You have to love a fighter that says, " I know I have to knock out the other lady when I am fighting in her country." << Ava gets it, the crooked scheme that boxing is all about. Better still, she should want to knock out any opponent, so it all works.
KO'ing Suzi K in saurer-berg is a tough assignment. But if you knock her down, say 12 times, even der sauer's might call that a draw!
GO AVA, THE BAD-ASS KNIGHT!
Weigh in with a shout out for Ava Knight!

Ava has a fan base, when ever a true fight fan of womens boxing attends a card where Ava is on has to become a Ava Knight fan because she is the complete package and exciting to watch. She can box, brawl, fight inside or outside. I had the priviledge of meeting Ava ata card in Laughlin, Nevada in Feb. 2008 and I knew right then she was championship material and I became a huge, huge fan of Ava.I also attended a card in Pico Rivera in June of this year when she fought Kaliesha West, it was called a draw but Ava really won that fight. In all fairness ifthe judging was honest her record would be 10 wins 1 loss and no draws. Ava has paid her dues starting with her background in amateur boxing at the age of 13 and compiing a amateur record of 28/4. When she fought Torres she was not 100% and fought that fight with a back injury givng Torres agood workout and let her know she had been in a fight. Fight fans are going to heara lot in the future of Ava if the promoters are smart enough to put her on their cards.

TD I think it sad that you have to knockout an opponent to get a win but HG boxing promotion is pretty fair however I agree that Ava should get fighter of the year, it is pretty rare that a boxer knows they have to knockout an opponent an actually does it

Jason---I have yet to meet a fighter that didn't want to knockout an opponent! That's the guts of fighting. However, when you meet a fighter that totally believes they will knockout an opponent, you are meeting a champion. That 100% deep-wide belief is ALL IT.
Ava is deserving; she learned a hard lesson from Ms. Torres and that turned the steel stainless, so to speak. She was the tiger in the ring...the belief that she would knock out Arley was flying thru her gloves. It was pure FOCUSED BELIEF at work on Arley. That and great balance/bounce. The torque she put behind hooks to the body was awesome.
Now, where is a smart promoter. A guy that will step up and say, I can build a number of shows around this 108 pound fireball. Kentikian got that pretty easily thanks to the Halmich.
Anyway, we have to keep talking about the Tigers! They capture and deserve fan attention and build the sport!
Ava Knight, Fighter of The Year!

In a fair fight Ava could take Suzi K but to do it she would have to KO her and even then they would rig up and excuse to have Ava dis-qualified. In the past the fighters that went to Germany did it for the money knowing that unless you KO their fighter you are going to lose. A perfect example of this Elena Reid fighting Regina Halmich twice and being shafted out of the win both times. When Ava sits down on her punches she hits like a 135 pouder at her fighting weight of 111/114. The talent is there Ava needs sponsorship and promoters to get her on their cards.

Elena Reid may have won the first fight against Halmich but I don't reckon you can be so certain about the second bout, though I know everyone has their own opinion about that.
By the way, you don't have to KO German fighters to beat them in Germany. Jeannine Garside is a witness to that.

Martin--- while its TRUE that Jeannine won a decision in Germany, look at the fight, then look at the judging margin, look at the ref's "call" in the last round and then hazard a guess as to weather Jeannine was working hard for a KO up until the last bell. I think she was and correctly so.
Its foolish to think or fight otherwise when going into HOMER-VILLE.
