Well...another up-and-comer gets stopped in the tracks.
Namus looked like she hadn't been schooled in how to defend...whether she's naturally cumbersome or if this was a case of bad tactics on her trainers' behalf...or simply over-confidence against an opponent whose record didn't seem that overwhelming...only time will tell. I was surprised how easily Namus wobbled and fell, though.

what ever the reason it made for an exciting fight packed with power punches. Namus must have taken about 20 hard shots before going down.

I agree with you Martin, Chris Namus was a fighter who fought average fighters and she took on Florez thinking of her as not a threat but then end up getting knocked out. If you watch florez you can see she is a power puncher. You can see the damage acumulate at 1:15 of the clip that wban found. When Chris got hit by florez hook she grabbed and holded on and then it was just a matter of second before she got knocked out. This was intended to be an easy win and it was for Florez, Fighters can learn alot from this fight

Look at this video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jINFfBrZcQ
this is why you should not fight stick opponents because one day one of those sticks that you think you can break will stick you and it will hurt but most of us in the forum get this its just promoters, trainers and other boxers that don't get this.
watching those people, her fans, loyal fans and her crying reminds me of when Regina Halmich lost to Yvonne trevino or Alicia Ashley beat Alesia Graf. People thinking that there fighter was indestructible and when they fell you couldn't believe it and that taste in your mouth was the worst thing imaginable.
people give their lives in boxing and in other sports and then there are those who give this amount. Who will be the next statue to fall crumble down to nothing but sheer dust and dust clouds of lost dreams and lost hope. (let me say this i think chris namus is a okay boxer and will learn alot from this lost and hope fully her team as well but if they don't then just like Alesia Graf you will fall on the canvas. One thing about Regina even though she done alot of thing, she fought after her lost 55 fights.)

Allan that fight wasn't exciting no it was more of a massacare and then an akward dance off with napolean dynamite. Once you saw the fight for a minute a least especially when Namus got hit and you saw her reaction, you knew the verdict of this fight.
