One thing is certain, female boxing is just like male boxing in one key aspect; poor judging to slanted judging.
Consider what Lucia Rijker just said about the upcoming Lamare - Holm fight in ALBQ.
"At the press conference, Rijker represented the sport well when she spoke to the people on scene. She also expressed that she would hope that the judges will be fair, and that Holm is considered a top boxer and she needs no help from the judges. "
Worse, Dee's rating system has sucked up any and every slanted -poor-terrible and or rigged decision and made them clean by placing them into her system. Worse, she defends it by saying her rating system is free of prejudice like OPINION RATING systems are. Not quite Dee. Your system is a mirror for the "homer" promoter system of deciding who wins a fight.
Traveling male fighters have nashed their teeth for years, they go to a town, whip the local-promoters boy and lose a decision. At one point in his career, Freddie Pendleton was close to .500 in wins and loses. Then he started to knock people out. He got a promoter, stayed at home...but with one key differential, he kept knocking people out. It made him more and more money. Freddie is a great lesson for any fighter- TAKE IT OUT OF THE JUDGES HANDS WHEN YOU PUT IT IN YOUR GLOVES. IT being POWER-DETERMINATION. I can remember someone looking at freddie's record and thinking he was a walk in the park. No, he was a tiger loose in the park.
So, things are shaping up with the same old problems that men's boxing has.
One other thing, because a judge is from out of "town", does not insure he/she is automatically neutral.
