Dee ranks Sandy #8...that's why Dee's rankings are so rank. No way is she #8. None.
Sandy is the real deal. You get a chance to watch her and you will see a FIGHTER. She makes the fight. I saw her against Menzer...the rounds I saw, she was giving Menzer da beatin. Menzer. Who is a great fighter. Sandy is the fighter that StayLo wishes she was. All action, with great technique and power.

TD Well TD first nice to hear your back and I agree Sandy T or lil Tyson is an amazing fighter she should be in the top 5 but I use boxrec and Dee's ranking so if one is wrong I have another one to back me up. Also I am dissapointed in Mary Jo she is just jumping in to fight Holms which is a bad idea first I would fight Christy Martin or some active fighters in the welterwieght and middle weight but I hope for the fans who watch the event that it is a better main event than last time but I thought she would have fought some more people before she would do this but oh well. Also i wonder what fights will be on the title card |

Sandy has great potential and I am following her career closely but potential is not what my rankings are about. (I've explained this to TD endlessly but he never understands it, possibly because he wears headgear over his eyes and ears thinking that prevents brain damage.) My rankings are based on results, NOT on future prospects. She needs actual wins over higher-ranked fighters to move up the rankings. Like TD, I predict good things to come for Sandy based on her showing in the Menzer fight, and I am looking forward to seeing her fight again, but unlike him I do not mix up her future potential with her realized results.

TD This is so totally untrue, I can only wonder if you are an a-hole who WON'T read, an old fart who's lost your bifocals, or the lights in your TrogloDyte cave have gone out again Let me help you. At the bottom of my rankings page there's a link that says: How are the rankings produced? READ HERE That's R-E-A-D. You take your mousey and use that to click on it, and it will take you to www.wban.org/rankings/rankings_how.htmwhich is where my ranking method is explained. Read the step which says that the most recent head-to-result between rankable boxers is used to adjust the final scores. If you defeat a ranked boxer, you will IMMEDIATELY be ranked above her, guaranteed. TD just keeps flailing around here saying things that are not true just because he feels like it. There's no point arguing with him, I have learned that but this is just for those of you who may be misled by his nonsense. |

Sanders/Olson Clampitt/Olson Holm/Martinez 1 and 2 Holm/Saccurato Holm’s 3 headbutt TKOs Mrdjenovich/Olivio Each of these fights had controversial outcomes where the promoter’s fighters won or received face-saving draws. I don’t hear them saying their opponents “didn’t have a chance in hell at winning” “unless they knocked me out”. Their silence is deafening and speaks volumes. I hope Mia St. John is just as candid in her memoirs. |

He doesn't read what people write, he just pushes his own reality whether it's got any basis or not. So yes I am harsh with him, because he has no learning curve. Yes I agree Sandy has potential but lets not have another Norikyo Kariya, she is a good number of win but never beat any good fighters like Warner,Knight, and the Hawaiian mongoose. Sandy needs to fight the best of the best in her class to be considered the top, but if she had a rematch with Menzer, would she win?? If she could win in Germany she should be in the top. |

She hasn't proved herself to anyone that she sould be the top, I don't even know why Boxrec has her at the top anyway. Just because Boxrec gets ads from Germany doesn't mean they should mess with the rank of a fighter. Menzer needs to do like Noriko and fight the best and if no matter win or lose the point is once you fight the best in your class weight then you should be the top but she hasn't but she is a good fighter. |

The current featherweight rankings all suggest to me that Sandy vs. Jeri Sitzes would be a match that could help sort things out some more. I hope someone in Canada might try to set up Sandy vs. Jeannine Garside too - you've got two good ones kinda close down the freeway there .... is anybody talking about it, or does Ontario just produce good female boxers without seeing them fight? |

You need to open your eyes an see. Few watch the first fight because people don't know either fighter and have any interest in these fighters plus women's boxing doesn't have all the best promotions plus hype. Even non titles could sell out but it is based on the hype, advertising and people also interaction. I remember someone from in the forum talking about if fights were over on a site where you could watch and chat at the same time with other people, now that would be revolutionary especially if it were cheap and a good step to bringing female boxing back. |

Lil Tyson according to WIBA rankings is number three, plz she is a great fighter but if your going to rank something rank it on the facts. Fact Lil Tyson hasn't fought anyone below her. Oh and Oliveras should not be in the number 1 spot either especially after her last fight but we 'll see what happens when she face Nava again...NEXT Melinda is a great fighter but she hasn't had to many fights to be in that spot...but that is why I look at other people's  I mean at least Wban is some what acurrate. |

I agree Tsagouris looks like a very good fighter, but has only had 8-9 fights. Kind of hard to rank her accurately with so few bouts.
As for Holm-Sanders II. I was shocked that Sanders could not get to Holm in the first bout. Holm is a good defensive counter puncher but almost as boring to watch as former male heavy champ, Chris Byrd. Sanders has the punching power to put Holly away, IF she can catch her.

Mary Jo Sanders may have punching power but has not demonstrated it in a long time. Her last stoppage of a skilled opponent was 8/2004 against Lisa Holewyne. She did TKO Iva Weston 2/2006 but Weston's record is padded. The remaining stoppages were against inactive or lesser opponents prior to Holyeyne. Team Holm neutralized Sanders' power by punching once or twice then tying up Sanders before she could counter. It's no surprise to me Sanders did not stop Holm. |

You don't seem to grasp that my rankings are, by design, based on what HAS happened rather than what MIGHT have happened, or what MIGHT YET happen. If you want completely speculative rankings instead, just post your own somewhere ... which would involve a little of that four-letter word, WORK! Have you found ANY ranking list that currently puts Sandy ahead of Menzer? Tell me if you do. In fact, the main differences between my ranking list and the others mentioned here are the rankings of other fighters, not the ORDER of Menzer and Sitzes that's different, it's who else gets ranked in between them. But the Oracle of De Napoli probably doesn't want to look at things like the actual differences among the rankings. That would involve READING some of them, i.e. doing a little WORK before he posts here. Work? That's just not Tom's style, is it? |

BRAVO RYAN! At least you are NOT blind to real talent when you see it really kick the ass of the champion, Menzer. To say Sandy is #8 and until she gets more "dee-points" is a waste of time, waste of the sport and an inslult to an awesome fighter who laid a whipping on Menzer, took Menzer's best shots and at the end, was looking to finish Menzer. So according to DEE-DUM-DEE, Sandy is #8...actually is #1, she beat the champ. But again, its Germany so #2 is fair! No Rank Is 100% Accurate Neither Dee nor Ryan TD your crazier than a tasmainian devil if you think nobody recognizes Sandy Lil Tyson's talent but TD your not thinking Everyone says some one has talent but I agree Lil Tyson beat Ina Menzer fair and square and I admit Dee should put Ina at least as number 10 or put Tyson infront of Ina and Stacy Reile and Silk who was a former champion. I can't find any rankings that reflect what TD says "everybody" knows, with Sandy listed ABOVE Menzer. Maybe they are on TD's website? The differences among the current featherweight rankings are about who ELSE is ranked, and not whether or not Menzer is ranked above Sandy.
Note that none of this is about Sandy's POTENTIAL, which many of us agree is great.
Rematch? Sure, let's see one. And let's see Sandy vs. Sitzes, Garside, Shea, even Barber to bring light here, not just waste heat and noise from the Oracle of De Napoli.

THIS IS DEE'S "RANKING" 8 Sandy Tsagouris (CA-ON) 7-1-0 (3 KO) 341 475 You watch Sandy VS. Menzer and you tell me where Sandy should be ranked. No one in the world would put her at #8 to Menzer's #1. No one. 'cept DEE...nice rankings there Dee. Lill Tyson is a great ring name for her. Promoters would be wise to feature this lady. She makes it happen. Prediction on Holm-Sanders II, Sanders by Knock out inside of 8 rounds. If Holm thought Trisha Hill had a great right, wait till she gets to Detroit. TD Well TD first nice to hear your back and I agree Sandy T or lil Tyson is an amazing fighter she should be in the top 5 but I use boxrec and Dee's ranking so if one is wrong I have another one to back me up. Also I am dissapointed in Mary Jo she is just jumping in to fight Holms which is a bad idea first I would fight Christy Martin or some active fighters in the welterwieght and middle weight but I hope for the fans who watch the event that it is a better main event than last time but I thought she would have fought some more people before she would do this but oh well. Also i wonder what fights will be on the title card I think Sanders can adjust and win. I also think an immediate rematch (in the Motor City) is in order. Mary Jo fought well the first time, but she didn't fight at her absolute best, while Holm fought the fight of her life. I hope more folks can see it live this time. |
