Miriam Lamare won by a 99-92, 97-94, 99-91 decision. I'm told it was a good, high energy fight throughout with commentators saing that Laracuente was easily the best opponent Lamare has faced. Lamare said she enjoyed the fight as every round was different and she hoped they'd give Laracuente a rematch. There was some booing as the scores were announced. The TV commentary agreed that Lamare had won but only by two or three rounds, not by the wide margin given on two scorecards.
Anne-Sophie Mathis is expected to fight Lamare on the 2nd December.

From what else I can find, the decision was a good one despite the one-sided scores. Although she isn't too old, Laracuente should think about becoming a trainer or get out of the fight game altogether. She has fought some of the best, but her recent record is getting embarassing.

But she's fighting the best. I'm sure Holly Holm's people are considering picking her as an opponent to come to NM. I'd love to have a copy of some of Belinda's fights. I wish she were more of an internet type; she'd be a riot to discuss topics with. And there's nothing embarassing about her record if you look at the names on it. She has fought EVERYBODY.
