On July 20th., Eliza Olson defends her Lightweight belt that she won by (surprize) decision against Jessica Rakoczy last year. Do you think she can do it again? Eliza is more of a natural Welter/Light Welter with a 9-5-3 (2) record. Jessica is a natural Lightweight who could probably make lighter weight. Her record is 25-3-1 (9). Please vote on how you see the probable outcome.

It is sad to see that there seems to be little interest in this bout when it should be one of the best of the year.

Eliza Olson is a true road warrior, competing at other's hometown venues with the resultant stolen victories. Olson defeated Jessica Rakoczy in Rakoczy's Lemoore by chasing her down. For Olson to repeat, she'll have to cut off the ring and catch Rakoczy. Rakoczy has more speed but Olson has more power. A classic match-up.

Yes, it is a classic box vs puncher matchup. The boxer is a little taller and likes to fight from the outside. The puncher is a little stockier (and used to fight in a higher weight class) and likes to get in close and mix it up. The boxer has the better record, but the puncher won the first meeting between them. If the boxer wins and reclaims the title, a third match seems inevitable. This has the potential to rival the Clampitt-Fiorentino match.

Dee, what happened to Olson-Rakoczy II? I see Eliza is fighting a 6 rounder in San Jose on the 20th instead. Was there a money problem or did Jessica hurt herself in training?
