Folks,
Some of you may have heard or noticed that Christy Martin is going to finally climb back into the ring and fight a rematch with Mia St. John, a potential 'tomato can' opponent for Christy, assuming Martin is serious this time and kick her ass.
Here is how I feel about it below:
If Christy is actually going to fight again, I wish she'd scrub this fight with the potential 'tomato can' St. John could be and offer it to someone as good as Martin and someone who could possibly beat her - Terri Blair!
As you may know, Terri's rematch with Hallback was canceled just 1 hour before the show was to come off.
Terri was very disappointed.
That is why I am lobbying now more than ever for a fight between Martin and Blair to happen.
Let's get it on!
Well, what do you all think about it?

1. any further news on "WHY" the Blair v Hallback fight was cancelled? 2. as for Martin v St. John, this seems more like a "publicity stunt" (and not a very good one) to see if Martin can get that "50 wins" on her record. The ONLY active role Mia St. John should have for the sport of women's boxing is that of an "ambassador" for the sport. I just can't imagine this (even at the most outer-limits of my imagination) being a hi-quality fight. 3. Blair would bring more bang-for-the-buck to this match-up than Mia: inside the ring during the actual fight. But she brings a lot less when trying to promote the fight. So it's a "catch-22" situation. 4. Wouldn't shell out any of "my own $$$" to attend Martin v St. John, but if someone WAS to comp me with a free ticket - yes, I would go 5. as some of us here know, TD is a mega-huge fan of Martin, so TD, "what's your take on this?"

Well, I am going to have to bit my tongue, attach a clamp to it, duk-tape my mouth, take 14 shots of seconal, place myself in a block of ice, have small elephant sit on my chest and have myself impounded by the Supreme Court of the United States---but before I go: PATHETIC is all I can say...the impound van awaits.
