Brilliant win for Torres, had Graf down twice in the third, and dominated throughout. Kudos to the German for never giving in, though. Anyway, Torres was magnificent, quick, accurate, punishing, always moving, sound defence, the works!

I give props for Alesia Graf fighting Torres especially in mexico and for Torres accepting this fight but this fight was predictable really, I mean Graf didn't win against Terri Cruz, she had basically been fighting the bottom of the barrel fighters. However those knockdowns were slips, you have to remember that it was raining in Mexico but i could be wrong but i watch the thing and it looked like slips. You can tell when Alesia has been knocked down and when its a slip.

JASON--- agreed, Hats off to Alesia for fighting in Mexico. It takes guts, talent and a long flight to do it.
Now she knows, she had to step up her game to be a world class fighter, which Torres certainly is.
I have alot more respect for Alesia now. I hope she goes back to the gym, recieves some new and improved coaching and comes back even tougher and eager to avenge her loss.
Maybe Ms. Torres can visit her in Alesia's back yard. Fair is fair.

You can tell when Alesia has been knocked down and when its a slip. Jason, First knockdown of Graf was ruled incorrectly, she tripped just after being off balance and having her legs tangled. But the second knockdown was correct, IMO. Anna Marie slammed a beautiful over hand right into Graf as Graf was throwing her right. Jay Nady is a pretty competant ref.,IMO. When you watch the entire fight, Alesia looked totally out of her league, easily enough to call it 100-88. She had a lot of work to do if she wants to be World-Serious. IMO. But she was game, never quit and fought it out. So again, hats off to her. Torres is as good as any top quality female fighter I have ever seen. She bangs the body with both hands, pops a confident hard jab, can hook up and down and is always in balance and ready to throw. Total package. This was a great match up that deserved far more attention than it received. TD

My problem is that Alesia Graf is taking others boxers opportunity, who could actually fight Ana Maria Torres a whole lot better. I am wrong about the knockdown. I don't know about Alesia making a come back, only time will tell.

Jason---if you look at the score, 100-88 it looks like a mismatch. But Alesia was in every round except maybe the last round. She was almost knocked out.
But the it was her hesitancy and reach-in kinda punches that did her in. While Anna Maria was jumping forward with her shots. Alesia was a victim of her own HomeTown training and her lack of confidence made her lose rounds by just a bit.
I think Torres had gone to school on her real good and knew that Alesia would not be committing to her punches and that made Torres even MORE confident.
