This could be a very good match, Jamie has been active however for Jill she has 2 years of ring dust to contend with. Then again Jill had ring dust when she fought Angelica Martinez and still manage to win. I think Jamie may win or it might be a draw.

Jill has a big size advantage plus she is an southpaw. Clampitt will have the hometown advantage
This fight is hard to call. Also Emery is fast approaching 40. Sometimes fighters get old overnight

If I was down to my last $$100 and was forced to place a bet on this fight and didn't want to have to eat my next meal in a soup kitchen for the homeless, I would have to go with Jill Emery on this one. It would have been nice to have seen Jill pursue her boxing career more vigorously during the last two years. A bout between her and Holly Holm was in my top 3 of "wish list" fights.
ps, I due contribute to a local soup kitchen as it is a worthy cause, so don't anyone think I'm a cruel, heartless "ditto-head."

I think Jill's only chance is to KO Jamie. As I said before, it is a Burchfield Card in RI. His home town, and he is like one of the goodfellows there. I really wish Jill could get a prompter, she is classy in and out of the ring!! Good Luck Girl!!

Clampitt won Todd I hope you did not bet. Emery needed at least a knockdown in Clampitt territory Ms Reiss and Mr Ozuma , you two know your boxing. Rhode Island is Jimmy Burchfield
Country Emery knew it

Todd no one is going to judge you, If Emery could become more active..I think her fighting Holly Holm would be a very good idea. Also Todd, something you learn about female boxing is that most fighters want to pursue but they are missing a promoter.

For Emery to get a 57/57 on an active fighter must have been a glitch judge or that she is a very talented fighter and I mean some of the scores kinda suprised me but if she can stay active, i believe a rematch would be exciting to see.

Clampitt was not such an active fighter. She had a baby
Before she fought Emery she fought only 6 rounds in 2 years. That , I would not call active. Plus Emery is at Gleason's Gym where there are a lot of females that she can spar with That was not the deciding factor in this fight .

John, you forgot that Jamie fought in November 2009 against Rachel Clark and it was a 6 round fight.

Not alot ? Very little one fight between 3-14-08 and 3-19-09 Plus she was not in the gym for over 1 solid year due to being having a baby She has fought more than other people have and won but when you take into the thought of creating the baby, carrying a baby in the stomach, delivering the baby and staying with the baby I guess she wasn't active. However I hope to see Jamie Clampitt when she is alot more active and with more fights under her belt take on Rola El Haba. The only reason I suggest Jamie is because she is a good boxer and with more experience and activity, I believe she can lay Rola to waste.
