I just heard today that Hollie, a regular at this forum is fighting Chantel Cordova. Well, you know i won't sugarcode anything about my opinon of this match. I first want to say i am happy that Chantal is back boxing again. However I hope after this fight you will work harder and your team will find better opponents to help you on your road to fighting fighters like Bopp and Susi K. I think its good that Chantal doesn't get any easy opponent but Hollie needs better opponents. The fighters are out there it will just take work to bring them there. I understand the difficulties in this economic time but a boxer has a timeline as well. And when you end your career you want to leave having no regrets and fighting the best at your best. There are fans out there who just like me wants all you fighters to fight the best. We care, worry and think about the best for you and most of the time what you don't want is the same as what we don't want. I am going to say this after 2009, I don't want to see any more fighters from any other country being made as a side show or just some fighter from the blue corner brought here to lose. Tell the world you want to be a champion and will fight the best and prove that you deserve a shot at the champions and dethrone them. There are alot of fighters out there some good, some bad and some fight only tomato cans but only you can decide what fighter you want to be.

Hey now...you can't be critizing HD? Hotstuff rocks! She would fight Tyson if she could find a promoter!
Not familiar with Chantel as much. She is undefeated and has fought some decent fights but NOT on par with Hotstuff, IMO.

TD TD thats my whole point Chantel should not be fighting Hollie Hollie should be fighting some one who is active and in a good range. Carina Moreno or Anabel ortiz (the women that recently beat carina), i mean anyone besides chantel. Julia Sahin would do. I like that both Hollie and chantel are fighting but not each other, its not a good match up.

Your right Jason, Hollie does deserve the best team in boxing. If you watch some of the film on Chantel you'll see she is a very seasoned boxer. the cordova family is well groomed. Chantel almost ripped a girls head off a couple years back with an upper cut. doesn't show the same mercy as suzi does in Germany in some of her fights. trouble with Chantel I can't find a thing hardly on her, some fighters tend to be that way and not publish anything. I hope someone from Chantel's team will defend her in the forum, but not likely. Chantel 2005, 2006 amateur champion. undefeated professional. on facebook she is focused and ready to fight.Hollie is bad to the bone in the ring, wban logo'ed fighter and her fans worldwide are simply amazing. Chantel has not fought since April 2007 when she won a UD over Melissa Shaffer. In her only other 6-rounder she got a draw with Valarie Rix. This will be a very tough "comeback" fight for Chantel after this long away from competition.

Dee I am not trying to attack, or tarnish Chantel image. I have said that i am happy to see her boxing again but the problem is Hollie and fight fan have hopes of fighting many champions. Now Kimberly Connor came back from From her long time off and beat Delgado. However Carina came back from her long time off and lose to Anabel Ortiz. On one side i am glad chantel is not getting an easy opponent but on the other hand i am upset that Hollie doesn't get a better opponent like Esmeralda MOreno. Do you get my point, dee?

voayer...I like Holly's heart...she is 7 feet of badass packed into a 5 ft body. However, when will she learn that she CANNOT lock her knees and expect to be able to "bounce" right and leverage her shots. She's got the heart to want to throw, but dang, her knees are much much too stiff-kneed to allow real leverage to happen. But she comes to fight, as opposed to "runners", which IMO are zeros.

Dee I am not trying to attack, or tarnish Chantel image. Didn't imply you were, so no need for you to be defensive. I was just pointing out she hasn't fought in almost 3 years (because nobody else had mentioned that). That adds to the difficulty of this match for her, IMO

S.O.B puts it on the line for boxing on live Internet radio. Hollie was live last night, maybe Chantel can come on as a guest plenty of time before they meet in okc.

Jason you don't know the difference in tomato and potatoe IMO ;D Hollie made her mind up a long time ago what type of fighter she is. She is a spartan! bopp wouldn't have a chance against Hollie. bopp just happens to be high profile in south american. will they risk a fight with Hollie. NO! Stick with Hotstuff brother she brings out the passion in the boxing fans and we will do more title fights. One of my favorite memories is handing tickets to a boxing fan that had driven 600 miles to see Hollie in St. Louis, or the drunk guy at the bar that was going to check out until he saw a picture of Hollie that I had in her portfolio, we connected high fived for a while and he was at weigh-in next day which he thoroughly enjoyed. You don't get these logo's fighting tomato's

No doubt about it, Hollie brings it! But Jason's point about Y. Bopp v. Hollie is a loaded question, it would be a tough fight for Hollie. IMO, she would be the underdog in that one. Bopp moves and bangs. At her weight, she is Lucia Rijker with blond hair. I would like to see Hollie fight with her feet more, move better and use her legs to set up her punches. Bopp already does this very very well. No doubt Hollie is a fan favorite. She can put the bodies in the seats. Like I said, 7 feet of fight in a 5 foot body! TD

Ricky, Ricky did you read what i wrote.. honestly this is what is wrong with people period. I said and i will stand on my statement that if Hollie wants to be a champion and remain one against fighters like Susi K and Yessica bopp.. SHE NEEDS to Step up her Game. I don't think hollie is a tomato can and if you think i meant that then maybe i wasnt clear enough for some of you guys.

I care about you and Hollie, i have seen some of the people you guys want to fight and most of these fighters are no joke. I have seen fighters be humilated because they were not prepared. A kid has high hopes but if he does not work to get their tirelessly and constantly this kid will end up going no where. Hollie has worked hard but she lost to Regina Halmich, she got robbed three times. I have seen fighters lose countlessly in foreign countries and only a few come out with wins by the skin of their teeth. Few People like me actually care about fighters getting robbed. I have seen Hollie since her fight with Vaia. I am not trying to put her or you down, i can't believe you of all these people can't realize this. I just want you to fight better opponents.

That's what's impressive about Holly, she'll fight anybody! While Bopp might be OVER her head and Cordova Under, they are close enough to make those fights.
Hotstuff had the eggs to fly in Deutchland and fight the princess of popcorn and make it competitive.
Cordova does have what 6 or 7 fights and she is fighting UP...but its NOT more than Holly was when she fought Halmich.
It does say that fights are hard to come by and the difference in experience is huge across the spectrum of who is still fighting.
The sport is dying. We won't see another Martin or Rijker or Wolf or Lamare or Serrano or Anani for another 25 years in the sport.

nobody picked up on potatoe, what the heck? you guys are great!! the passion is fantastic and so many people benefit from your post. Rick I was hoping you would say something. Always a champ you are. TD and and Jason pitchen for the girls. my hero tonight though is Joe Roche. great article on 411. I can't keep up with everyone writing about Hollie now, but thank-you to everyone because the passion is amazing. boxingscene did an article recently, kocosports, wban - so proud of that logo! title boxing, endless sponsors. voayer your videos are off the charts. gofightlive always responsive and a great price for video productions. I thought about the espn camera man in Korea tonight, he stopped production and asked Hollie to autograph his t-shirt at the airport, he knew something very special was going down. Rod, an incredible pro was with us. a massive punch that could kill with one blow. a story in itself. thank-you Rod for making that trip. Al Bernstein was awesome in New Mexico when Hollie was signing autographs he told me she won the fight with Ms Rodriguez. I have that video up. Al could be a great voice for women's boxing. is this who you think it is? or a double for Hotstuff the article will show why the photo:) Joe stick with the girls, they really put on a show! www.411mania.com/boxing/columns/117900Jason I get you brother, and TD your point on promoters is dead on. Dunaway vs Cordova I just wish everyone could get into the venue to see the fight. d**n right the wraps will be checked on both sides. Franzi, keep swinging you are an inspiration!! Hotstuff vs Gorgeous Babe! Bets are down. a lot of money! Hollie and Chantel's dressing rooms were side beside with a shear curtain between them, the commission watched the wraps, but also another team member for Chantel inspected, a young boy, just old enough to walk, touched her wrap, what I noticed is they didn't push him away. he was curious but being a boxing family I know one day he will wrap too. Hollie's wrap complete, she warms up with the mitts, her mom and her many guest in attendance wait for her intro. Fight night fell just a few hours before one of the hardest hitting ice/snow storms to ever cover the area, but they went ahead with the show. cut time: www.press.uchicago.edu/Misc/Chicago/725561.html a great read for all pro fight fans, I'm not selling books, but part of the book described ringside patrons covering with sheets to protect from the blood sprays. Chantel took some shots that opened her nose up, the crowd moaned as those ringside felt the droplets. A SD is announced, but the ref shakes his head in disagreement, as he felt it should have been UD for Dunaway. Hotstuff earns her 23rd pro victory.
