It was just posted on Wban.com :"
(NOV 10) IFBA Statement on the Korean Boxing Commission’s hearing of the protest for the Lisa Brown/Hyo-Min Kim fight. “The Korean Boxing Commission informed the IFBA late Monday night that they have reached a decision on the IFBA’s protest of the outcome for the Lisa Brown- Hyo-Min Kim fight that took place on Oct. 15. After reviewing the fight, the KBC has declared that the judges’ decision of a victory for Kim will stand. However, the KBC agreed with the IFBA that a rematch is a necessity. The mandatory rematch between Kim and Brown will take place in early 2010. The IFBA appreciates the KBC’s due diligence in this matter and continues to strive for fair and just judging in women’s boxing across the world.”

The KBC thinks that Lisa lost the fight and a rematch is necessary? Why does every one think a rematch is necessary, Lisa won that fight just as plain and simple as that. This is the biggest robbery I have seen this year so far. I pray for Lisa and her team.

This is the biggest robbery I have seen this year so far. I pray for Lisa and her team. Precedent dictates that FOUL PLAY must be involved to overturn a decision and or a tecnhical malfunction ( scores added wrong or incorrectly given to the wrong boxer etc.). Not too many organizations are willing to "shout", "we approved of unqualified judges" or " judges with poor eyesight". I do applaud the IFBA for getting a second sanctioning fee out of the required re-match. LOL. Other bits, it will be great to see Lil Tyson back in the ring. Its BANG BANG TIME! The lady from S. America, Ms. Rivas, had better pack a ".45" cuz she's a gonna need it and a canned ham! LOL. Go Lil Tyson Go! Maybe a hurricane 4 to 5 on the Saffir scale. Hope it makes it to youtube. Fans out there, watch Sandy fight, she IS WOMEN'S BOXING...along with Lamare, Hernandez, Saccurrato and even Ina Menzer! TD

This is a disgrace to Lisa Brown, IFBA and Korean boxing. To let that girl keep that win is ridiculous, she lost bad to Lisa They took all that time just to come up with that decision is do that is fundamentally outrageous. IFBA has been made a fool of by KBC, anyone can get a rematch and be cheated again. Lisa filed a complaint form for nothing.

Jason...there are PLENTY of outrageously bad decisions in boxing...even on broadcast there are bouts that under the microscope of the "world" watching are just outrageous. The statement that T. Atlas uses, "What fight were they (judges) watching?".
Korea is just south of New Mexico-Berlin- Fill in the city.
One of the best checks against outrageously bad decisions as been the punch count system. But I have even seen the punch count come in WRONG. But its one way to keep a HOMER from happening in "broad daylight".
I don't know how many bad decisions there were "way back when" but my great uncle used to tell me it was more about, "what you could get away with" in the ring, in terms of dirty fighting. Hit-hold, low blows, head butts ( this is still alive and well), lacing ( rubbing the glove laces across an eyebrow), rabbit punching, stepping on toes, biting ( Evander Holyfield actually did this BEFORE Tyson did it to him) and then of course the really bad ones as in the Resto - Collins fight, removing padding from a glove and hardening the hand wraps. I mean the sport was more honest in the days of the gladiators, IMO.

Second boxers don't like being robbed of a fight and i don't blame them, there is a such thing called sports law and their should be a way to sue the right body to enusre that if you won that is true and with out a shadow of a doubt. These countries and people know what they are doing when they set these fixed matches so that no one can win but no one not even Wban is looking close and holding them to a word a responsibility.

Jason-- Teddy Atlas, super trainer, ex-fighter and tell - it-like - it - is ESPN ringside color/analyst. The man is my vote for National Boxing Commissioner. Turn the entire sport of boxing over to Teddy. Have it regulated thru uniform rules and every state must follow those rules. Teddy does more for REAL boxing with his microphone during one fight than any other boxing media and or analyst ever has done. And he's not on the take. He's straight up- real. Other side notes: bravo to Eddie Montalvo, Brooke's manager for setting things straight: www.womenboxing.com/NEWS2009/news111209dierdorff.htmSuggestion for any possible Brooke-- Pucek fight...pay both fighters training expenses, then make the purse winner take all. Fans love that stuff. Of course, I would look very carefully who is selected as judges. TD

they had all 3 korean judges and a korean ref for these two title fights, how were Brown and Blackshear going to get a fair decision? Korea seems to be the only country interested in promoting IFBA titles lately, so i knew they wouldnt overturn the decisions. if they really wanted the foreign fighters to get a fair decision, they wouldve brought in 2 non-korean judges.

Besides do you think you if this had happen to you, even with 2 different judges. Would you, Ryan stick(WIBA) your neck out and take away those titles from the korean fighters that didn't win it on korean soil??

=i wouldve made sure that there were at least some neutral judges, as to not put myself in this situation. i do fights in South Korea, and i use Korean AND non-korean officials for the fights that i do there.==

I am not here to burn you but you must realize like all these other title sactioning bodies when a fighter wins a fight it should be legit and if you give them that title it should be because its legit. NOt because people want their hero to win in the end that doesn't end up helping them. It would stun the world or nations if any of yall would say no to people once and a while but i guess we all have to understand that you guys out their have to sell your soul and look on the blind side to make a decent living.

Jason you are preaching to the choir. Why don't you write to the Korean commission instead?

Jason you are preaching to the choir. Why don't you write to the Korean commission instead? Rick, little good that would do. The Korean commsion would laugh in at my letter, think about it. The Korean commision saw this fight and said that Lisa justly lost this fight. The Korean crowd agree that Lisa lost this fight? And your telling me to write to them that Lisa won are you thinking straight. That crowd, that commission is on the korean payroll. The best thing I can do is write canadian sports newscasters and reporter to investigate what happen. Second I could write IFBA and tell them how disappointed, i am at them and tell them what a disgrace they are to boxing but besides that those are the only people who would actually try something. I only hope IFBA isn't on the korean payroll. And that they next fights that happen in korea won't be as bad as these were.

wban said they are eyeballing this one. the korean commission scales are like from 18th century, I'll bet Rhonda was on weight and had to cut more to make them happy. It's not a digital scale and you definately don't see pounds as a conversion. Lori this is just the start, wait until tomorrow when antics really start. the commission will drop by and assure her the judging will be fair. puke............... The Judges scored the fight....98-95, 96-94, 96-95 in favor of Woo. The fight held in Sang-Ju, Korea was the fifth nationally televised Women’s main event in Korea this year. www.womenboxing.com/NEWS2009/news112709luna.htmDongyour is good at getting video up so maybe this will be posted. www.youtube.com/user/dongyour
