Many of us in this forum have heard about what most goes on in the boxing world and we talk and hear about some of the home cooked fights that go sour for some good fighters that we know or like. However recently with this match with Korea, I noticed that not alot of fighters who were foriegners (not from korea) never win a match. I worried that this match with Jolene and lisa would be home cooked.Only Maribel Zurita ever won a match in korea that i know of. I once asked if any one had fought in korea and how did they do in their opinon. I asked Allan Garside as well as Hollie Dunaway and got no response. However after Lisa Brown makes a claim about their fight in Korea then a claim from team dunaway talked about their experience their. If i was team dunaway i wouldn't have waited to report something like that in october when they fought in Feburary because its looks to suspicious and because their isn't a video of that fight. Know a note to boxers and fan of boxers the way that Lisa's team did their claim was well done because they detailed every match and told every thing that happened and they did it not long from the time of the match between Hyo Min kim. If you don't speak we, the public will never know. One thing I do is when i find a match I post the video in this forum. Also when ever their is home cook fights i put it in this forum. With Natalie brown both times when she got robbed their was a person with a camera who taped both matches and put it on youtube so it could be found. What does this mean? You should have someone with a camera tape every match of your favorite fighter or your teams fighter, if we have anyhope of changing the number of home cooked fights.

Jason I don't recall you asking me how I felt about the fight, but I.m sure you did. I do know that Jeannine and Josh felt they had won the fight but Jeannine didn't want to complain because she didn't want to sound like a complainer. she thought she would learn from it and move on. but when it happened again in Bosnia it was to much. I suggested to Jeannine that she say something now, about Korea. Not for her benefit but to help throw a little weight towards fair judging.
I am still hoping to see a tape of both those fights some day. Allan

Jason,
BOXING decisions, at least 70% of them, are RIGGED or SLANTED or SHADED or MANIPULATED.
The "promoter"'s fighter is always known by the "judges". You don't "work" with the "promoter's" "pencils", you don't work all that often.
Look at Dee's rankings...she'll take those decisions from Korea, mix them into her "computer" rankings and it will greatly help legitimize Korean boxing or fill in the HOMER VENUE that you may know about. All the crap is covered over by ratings and rankings and ZERO detail in the record book.
Any fighter that is NOT throwing like hell to win by a knockout is most likely the "promoter's fighter", hell, it makes for even worse fights...the "promoter's fighter" knows he/she can RUN for 9.5 rounds out of 10, maybe fight the last 20 seconds of every round and WIN a twisted/rigged/slanted/shaded/manipulated decision.
Don't get me wrong, there are FAIR fights out there and decent promoters...I just can't think of any off the top of my head.
Classic case- remember Evander Vs. Lennox's in-famous DRAW...some boxing experts picked out a pivotal round, compared their notes of that round, sat in front of a vcr and counted punchs, looked at punch stat and found that Lennox had outpunched Evander in the round by almost 5 to 1 in power punchs landed. Yet one judge had Evander winning that round and the fight. FIVE TO FREAKING ONE! ON PAY PER VIEW!!! WITH PUNCHSTAT COUNTING PUNCHES! IN BROAD DAYLIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Teddy Atlas can tell you about the top 20 outrageous decisions. But I doubt he can name the top 20 good decisions. Why? They are SOOO infrequent.
Look, imagine YOU are fighting Muhammed Schlamiel from Tehran, in Tehran. MUH has a Tehranian promoter, its on Tehran TV...you pound MUH all over the ring, knock him down 10 times...but you don't knock him out---I will bet you that YOU lose the decision.
That's why fighters with high knockout %s are really the GREATEST FIGHTERS- they knock out the SCUM of the sport- the rigged/slanted/forced/shaded/manipulated decision.
THAT'S WHY LUCIA IS THE WORLD'S GREATEST FEMALE FIGHTER EVER. AND CHRISTY MARTIN IS RIGHT BEHIND HER. THEY KNOCKED OUT THEIR OPPONENTS AND THE SCUM OF BOXING WITH THE SAME PUNCH.

Jason, this is an official reply from Hollie's manager. we were robbed! interesting the user you quoted on utube looked long and hard for Hollie's fight, the fight is suppose to air of Fox sports. I know it will, things happen. dongyour - he is great at getting the korea's fights posted. My hope is that the next teams to Korea will ask the hard questions about judges, look at the history in Korea and if they want to go fine. check out the IFBA bylaws they are extensive. I hired at 15 year professional to corner for Hollie, Rod said we won the fight, and if Rod said it and Hollie fought it, it's as good as gold. the IFBA will review with the Korean commission, I will get the video and everyone will see if I'm not held up by copyright. Hollie is known worldwide as "Hotstuff" she is a pro fighter that has earned everything she has worked for. she returns a large portion of her email, but if you have a question let me know. I'll be glad to answer it. maybe not in public forum, as I don't talk about all our boxing business in a public forum, but if I think it will help other teams, then I do at times. contracts can get very legal, so another reason we don't see a lot of public disclosure. we just picked up a radio dj in Hawaii, maybe he can help get the word out too. Aloha! He requested fights from Hollie which I provided. Thank-you to WBAN for posting my article. regards, Ron Brand ,mgr Team Dunaway

If you and Hollie had spoke out about this earlier more people would not fight in korea. And their could have been something done about it. the more you speak about things and tell us what happen the more we will know about it. What ever country or place an unfair judging on a fight happens, you need to call, or call out the promoter and fighter their so that people can press this issue.

This is a photo that I smuggled out of the country. The controversy I quoted in my original article has been going on forever(Roy Jones jr), so hopefully the teams that have been there will speak up, I don't care when they do. Korean judging can be more controversial than a Kanye West mtv appearance. I know the IFBA will get video up for everyone to see.

Ron, you and hollie should go to korea and go to a newstation and tell all over korea what happened. An don't accept a rematch because thats what they always do. You need to declare to I.F.B.A and your opponent's team or manager that you want your title back. You won it and will take it back with what ever legal action is necessary to get the belt back. You might have to sue I.f.B.A and your opponent but the problem with taking them is you, yourself have to ask when and where did you file your complaints and with who?
Also if you are going to have a photographer at your fight make sure they take more then 25-50 photos. One photo isn't sufficent. Leave no doubt

definately raising hell is a good start, just like the other night in the baseball playoffs , runner called out by umpire at 1st, many times there are close calls there. well I be d**n fox has freeze cam now with split frame and they nailed the bad call and didn't try to hide it. can they use it to overturn the bad call, no video review isn't allowed yet. the IFBA agreed to send me a copy in December of Hollie and Ji Hyun and contacts with Korean commission, offical score cards the works. again I've had several different scores handed to me. Records are not available until that time. from Olympic stadium Seoul South Korea:

thanks for the link. now all I got to do is figute out how to watch it. ha ha You can translate the page but i would get someone who is fluent in Japanese to tell you what the page says if you are able to do that you should be able to figure out how to watch the video. Like i said previously I would probably try and handle this problem legally with attorney.
