Holly Holm deserves her kudos. She has taken many a big name and won. Yeah a dream match would be her and Mary JO. Fresquez promotions may have a slightly incestious relationship with another website but Lenny has put his male fighters and female fighters in the ring with legit opponents and some of his fighters have lost.
Bottom line in Regina's past there are more then a few shady decisions. There were two high caliber challengers willing to take a fhe fight against her. She elected for what appears to be an easier opponent. That is the makinging of CHUMPION not a Champion.

You don't know what the hell you are talking about. I have been involved in making many of her matches now and I know who was contacted and who rejected. Cooper was NOT contacted for the reason I stated before. And you would be susprised about how many "top contenders" turned a fight down against her. She fought every AVAILABLE top conternder over the past years.

If Caples would not have fought Regina in Germany again it is hard to blame her.

Bottom line the match made is like a couple fresh pieces of cedar onto a camp fire. The campfire is that Regina is a protected fighter who will not take any real risks and you better knock her out if you want to win....and even if you do don't be surprsied if the punch that drops her is declaired a foul shot! The match made no matter how many excuses are made those critics of boxing have fresh fodder. If the match does not make it past six rounds put five gallons on gasoline onto the fire or even if Regina dominates.

Marcel, I am not trying to call down Regina, I am just trying to understand Coopers apparent venting over her inactivity. Did she or her team not make their availability known to the Halmich camp in regards to this upcoming fight? I think the choice they made looks like a good competitive fight. Allan

If Regina was really the best she would not fear a rematch with Elena, she would have fought Kim again. She would hav accepted Cooper's challenge. If she ignored two challeneges from legit opponents maybe she does not desserve the type. Esteban, With all due respect to Melinda Cooper's skill, youth, and substantial amateur pedigree, who has she defeated in the last 20+ months to warrant a title shot against Halmich?

i think i may have found a willing opponant for Melinda Cooper. i am working on a Melinda Cooper - Tsubasa Maedo fight, for sometime in the first half of 2007, for the vacant WIBA Super Flyweight World Title. RYAN

Goodies. But I don't think I would find a promoter. Maybe James Pena can? I can just hook Ivanova up.

Las Vegas, Is Melinda really that good? This article is a little over a year old and Elena has another year under her belt, working steadily to acquire new skills. I sure would like to see if Melinda could really back up her tough words. Melinda said she would turn her into a Rag Doll. Can someone from Elena's team or maybe Elena let us know if there is any possibility of this fight taking place. Heck they could use the gym at UNLV campus. I wouldn't think Elena is putting in all the gym work to end up a Rag Doll. www.unlvrebelyell.com/article.php?ID=8569

I see Melinda will be fighting soon but they haven't finalized an opponent yet. Well, there are 2 names to pick from now...Ivanova and Maedo. I know Ivanova is available and hope it will be her.

Marcel,
Whoever. Coop needs to fight like Seabiscuit needed to race.
You people doling out the e-sugar for Halmich...try to remember just how rigged her deal is. Its the worst scam I have ever seen. Any normal fighter would be embarrassed as hell to be part of an ongoing scam like that. I can't honestly say she won one fight when the deck is so stacked, its impossible to say, yeah, that was a fair fight.
I do know this, she tried really hard against Trevino and made it thru 4 rounds. Of course she looked like she ran into a brick wall by the end of the 4th...so maybe that's the explanation for the rest of her career. Stay in Kraut-land, have "daddy" ref, have unkies 1,2,3 fill out the cards before the fight and get a princess's "crow every single time you fight, guaranteed.

I think I am lost here. What does Halmich have to do with it? I am just curious what opponent Cooper will be fighting and was asking you the same. Cooper wants Halmich. Basically called Halmich a "poser"...so lill Regina must have ran and hid when she heard she was a "poser". Obiously she would NOT EVER take a match with Supa Coopa...that was the wrap in to who you wanted to match with the blond poser from and in and never2leave Regina. At least in men's boxing, when somebody calls somebody a poser, they usually get a fight out of it and a million extra eyes...not so in Deutchland...the rig is in der fodderland. TD

Just how many opponents, ones who might have stood a chance, has Halmich avoided over the years? She gave Reid a second shot: surely that says something?

Again Tom shows me he can't read. I never offered Cooper the fight with Halmich. It's not like they asked me many times. But for now Ivanova is calling out Cooper through me, so maybe we can make that work.

Marcel, Would you make COOPER V. HALMICH? IF your answer is YES, then why not attempt to do that? ( well, ah, ya see, regina isn't in on tuesdays, and those are my call out days, so I'll try her on sundays and hope she has her calender all screwed and thinks its tuesday) Cooper called out the world. And so should any TOP RANKED/BELT HOLDING fighter...isn't that the way to make money and fame? YES IT IS MARCEL. TD

Just how many opponents, ones who might have stood a chance, has Halmich avoided over the years? She gave Reid a second shot: surely that says something? Everybody except Reid and the first fight with Messer ( which was messers fight). Her second one with Reid was more slanted than the first one, which was a total SCAM. She ain't no champion outside of krautland. TD

Marcel,
Why NOT Halmich V. Cooper?
Halmich was insulted worldwide, challenged worldwide and now QUACKING WORLDWIDE.
I'm taking away the A in CHAMP and giving her U, CHUMP.
Can't you give her a talking to? It looks really really bad when a challenger calls the "CHAMP" a poser and the "CHAMP" begins pecking around for ricer kernals.

I already told you the reason why not Cooper. Tbh: Halmich fights anybody they put in front of her. So how you like Cooper's opponent choice while Ivanova is available?

Marcel,
I missed your reason WHY Halmich V. Cooper could not or would not be made...
Keep Ivanova WARM. Supa Coopa is looking to fight. I don't see her going sideways from any fighter anywhere.
As to her upcoming opponent, looks like a mismatch on paper. Would not have been my first choice BUT if it was my only choice, at the time, I guess a fights a fight when nobody else wants to fight you.
I'm curious, does Halmich have any sort of pride? If you want her to hide behind her promoters by saying, she'll fight anyone they put in front of her you are basically saying that if they can't rig one way or another, they won't let Halmich fight. How pathetic is that?
